All the changes so far while playing in the beta, the long super recharge, the minimal heavy drop, the slower movement, all weapons pretty much doing the same damage..... all for the "balance" of pvp....it's sad they couldn't separate the two.
Edit: this guy said what I was trying to say way better than me.

10 RepliesPvP and PvE need to be separated. People need to open their eyes and give quality feedback instead of just blindly allowing this. The new weapon system is fine for PvP but it just cannot work with PvE
-
After you've done every raid a hundred times and every mission a hundred times What else is there? I'm a halo kid PvP is my only option
-
14 Replies...e-Sports ruined Halo and now they've come for Destiny. All that matters is how good the game looks on Twitch. It's 2017, the guy that plays for fun and doesn't care about competition doesn't matter, you'll still buy it, and they know it.

3 RepliesI'll make my feed back short and sweet. Whoever the team lead for Destiny 2 is should be fired. He managed to take a game that was going in the right direction and totally screw it up. What the hell were you guys thinking? You screwed up PVP as well as PVE. The player mechanics from supers to weapon slots. You screwed up a really good game. Why the drastic changes? What made destiny different and good you changed . Why?
-
4 RepliesThis is just so much different than how Destiny 1 launched and honestly, I'm pretty disappointed. Everything that made Destiny 1 awesome, addictive and fast paced is now gone. If I wanted to play a regular shooter that's what I'd be doing. I'll reserve judgement for the final product but everything that I've seen so far goes against everything that I feel made Destiny 1 special.

2 RepliesStop whining man just keep an open mind the new system is good maybe a few minor tweaks to weapon damage on scouts and possibly handcanons might be an order and although I hate admitting it hunters need a minor buff with there class ability and gunslinger super it's a better system and never other than my first weekly and my first NF from d1 have I ever said that strikes are hard. It's better love it or loathe it you can't deny that.
-
5 RepliesFunny because I feel like PvP has gone to crap and pve is the only fun thing now hah
-
62 RepliesI'm sorry but I really don't see the issue here. It really just seems like since Bungie is making PvE a bit more difficult yall are crying and poiinting the finger at PvP but really it's just you wanting PvE to be stupid easy. I guess maybe I'm just someone that doesn't back down from a challenge so when something is made to be more difficult I embrace it instead of crying about it.

Good?

Edited by StressedCoder: 7/20/2017 6:55:37 PMThe balance fix should be easy to implement, just allow specials in secondary slot in PvE and disallow in PvP. Done. Just mark special weapons internally and assign them to set groups with Permit/Deny in PvE/PvP games. Also, to take it a step further you could allow players to create/save a PvP/PvE armory profile that gets equipped automatically when you switch games from PvP to PvE.

41 RepliesI feel like you guys are forgetting this is a BETA. They aren't going to go around showing the whole story before release, and the devs have worked really hard this year to put together an actual story; learning from last years mistakes. Also if you don't like the pvp it's likely you aren't good at it or you aren't playing with friends.

2 Repliesjust gunna paste a post i made: Can we stop it with the Bungie only care about PVP Maybe some decisions were made in aid of balancing PVP but why does that mean they don't care about PVE? The new weapons system does feel like it was made with with PVP balancing in mind but i don't really think that it it has taken anything away from PVE. If the Raids and strikes take twice as long to finish because the bosses are super spongey and there's no power ammo then yeah sure its a problem but i think they've likely considered that when they made the change, and it didn't feel that bad in the strike to me. (small sample space i know but its the only sample we have right now.) So far i actually really like the switch i like how it feels like i always actually have two primaries and it feels more versatile to me. Not to mention that this time around every weapon is hand made meaning no more blanket nerfs/buffs They've also; created a an open world thats meant to be huge, introduced a larger variety of activities to do in that open world, attempted to improved how you enter those activities, made a new map system, created a new matchmaking system designed to allow players to access both pve and pvp activities they perhaps were unable to previously, they are claiming to have focused heavily on the new story stating there are more cutscenes than any bungie game ever and they are attempting to give NPCs more life by including them in your missions and adventures and what not. They might not nail any of the things they're trying to do but it sure seems like they are trying at least. It's extremely likely some decisions made prioritised pvp over pve but that doesn't mean that they all were or that they don't care about pve, Bungie is a company thats trying to make as much money as it can from this game, so when they have information telling them that their pve is more popular than their pvp i find it unlikely they would would disregard their largest fanbase.

4 Repliesyou guys claiming this for pve need to learn to not spam abilities, heavy & supers actually think when to use them

5 RepliesEdited by Level 2 on Easy: 7/20/2017 2:25:30 PMIf anyone doesn't like D2 pvp, it's because they are legitimately bad. No more waiting for shotgun/snipe ammo anymore kiddies. No more pretending to be good with the wormwood and No Land Beyond anymore. You got to have actual skill to play and i'm frolicking in it. I love coming to the forums and see people whining saying its ruined already. D1 crucible is bull--blam!-ing-shit. It's now perfect for gunplay and people hate it.
-
6 Repliesits garbage they took everything that was good from D1...oh but there is new Sentinel piece of crap
-
2 RepliesBad direction to go for bungie. This way they'll lose a lot of people. Just look on these forums. Majority is dissapointed.
-
One of my main pet peeves from the first game was that PvP dictated 90% of the game's changes. Looks like that will be the case yet again in the sequel. All Bungie had to do is find a nice middle ground for PvP and cover their ears to the constant PvP complaints. No matter what, players will adapt and exploits will be discovered. Then we get the never ending cycle of complain, nerf, complain.

20 RepliesAfter having played the beta for Destiny 1, I find a lack of content or anything you do in the beta for Destiny 2 be highly disappointing. One strike and one story Mission, that's it? The crappy new double primary weapon Load-Out with every other weapon being pushed into the "power" slot makes all weapon loadouts for PVE completely ridiculous. And it's all for the sake of PVP. I can't wait to try to fight a boss like Atheon or Crota with only two Primary Weapons and everything else as a power weapon, which you get limited ammo for. I played the living crap out of Destiny 1 for its entire lifespan, up until about a month-and-a-half ago. AOT was over, my clan is deserting left and right , so I decided to quit playing because there is nothing to do. If Destiny 2 can keep the content fresh and actually updated for PVE then we will play, but I'm not playing PVP over and over and over again. I am so tired of this PVP motivated mess up of PVE over and over. TLDR. The beta has only one story and one strike to do for PVE and I hope this is not indicative of the content coming for Destiny 2
-
7 RepliesSo if we all cancel our preorders, I wonder if the idiots at bungee will get the hint that the reinvention of destiny sucks?
-
1 ReplyYeah the completely ruined a great game, but they've been ruining it for a long time now. Im looking forward the Anthem now.
-
I did not like the sound of shots and the style of play more like overwatch. Please bring destiny back.
-
2 RepliesMy feelings too. I bought D1 for the open world fps shooter....lol.
-
4 RepliesEdited by Rebel Scum: 7/20/2017 11:39:07 AMNo more builds, no grind, crap new subclasses. Destiny 2 is a bag of dicks.
-
9 RepliesBump. To me it's sad they REFUSED to separate PvP and PvE when players have been vocal about it for the past 3 years!
-
14 RepliesI made a post about this before and i will say it again . DESTINY 2 Built With MLG In Mind
-
5 RepliesYea i feel like destiny 2 is way too focused on pvp. Like to the point that it's going to be all pvp and little pve. I'll be honest that i'm more than a little worried. For god's sake the beta is like 99% pvp. So i ask bungie this, if i don't do pvp why should i buy this game?
