too all those "why do you check stats in pve" players

I help alot of players, as I am sure many other guardians do. When we post on lfg that we are looking for: specific emblems light weapons number of completions or any other requirement is it that hard to read it and know you don't qualify and then move on? This morning, I want to get my runs out quick so that I can then go back and take all the time in the world to help other players out but, for my runs, I want them to be quick with competent players. We post with one simple request, have the valor in darkness emblem. If you don't know what that is, look it up.. you probably don't have it. we get three players that join, none of them have the emblem, asking how many completions they have, one guy says 17, the other stays quiet, and one says he has none. The guy that claimed 17, had 0, the guy that was quiet had 1 and the guy that said none, actually had one, but he did confess to not reading the post either. This is why we check.. this is why we kick you out of the team. This is why you see posts like this.. it's my game and my time and I will share it with whom I choose, if you don't' like it.. go find another team.. which is the point. Sometimes, players just want to get through it without explaining every single time what to do, where to stand, what to shoot etc. From this morning the only one that we kept was the guy who was at least honest, told us he had none, although he had one and the rest got the boot. We told the guy who we kept that he had to keep up, we wouldn't be explaining things as we just wanted to get through it.. being that we had a decent team his inexperience didn't end up causing many issues at all. Its simple, if you want to be the leader, have no requirements and do it your way, create your own team and invite who you want, kick who you want and wipe whenever your heart desires. If you are trying to join a team, read the damn posts, realize that maybe this isn't the group for you. do you really want to put up with the negativity on your end because you dont have the emblem, experience or knowledge to be in the same team.. There may be a time when I will help.. when I post that, please feel free to join, if not.. don't bother wasting both of our time.

  • Surprise surprise, the leader of a supposedly "no requirements clan" turns out to be just like every other toxic lfg Blamtard out there. You're such a fraud Justin.

The Valor in Darkness emblem requires only 4 Raid completions in total, and 1 completion of each challenge within a time limit. I don't have the Valor in Darkness emblem, but have over 100 completions of Vault of Glass, Crota's End, and King's Fall. I have 17 completions of Wrath of the Machine at the moment. I have completed every challenge more than 10 times. So, am I not good enough for you?

      • I don't have that emblem either. But I probably have more raid completions than 80% of this game and can run circles around them in raids.

        • you know, thought about this. why don't you just make LFG posts looking for 5400-5500+ grimore. takes care off all the issues. you don't have to check stats. if they have done that they are experienced. hell even 5000+ is solid more times than not

            • I've been lied to by randoms one too many times. My friend and I build fireteams and raid every week. We have no problem teaching people the raid - if they ask. However, if they lie about knowing the mechanics and we wipe because of them, I kick them immediately. I will not tolerate liars - if you need help, admit it and people will more likely be willing to help an honest, upfront player.

                • My post always say. No squeekers. Adults only. Be chill. Then whatever activity we are doing. I never check stats and we usually knock stuff out pretty quick. If someone keeps causing a wipe then we don't even ask if they know what they're doing. We simply explain what we need from them. If they keep messing up we ask them to leave and add us so we can help them after we get ours knocked out.

                • This is how LFG works: "Be 390+. Must have multiple completions. Must have black spindle, tom, sleeper simulant, dark drinker, 10inch+, blablabla" --> aweful horrible groups. Expect multiple wipes with lots of yelling. "LFM1 be chill" --> 1 fase everything

I am of the best pve people you will ever play with. I have a ps4 and an xbox account and have 1800+ hours on this game. I tend to look for lfg posts rather than create them, but I don't look for stats. Whenever I am looking for a raid team, I simply want to complete it. I usually look for posts that say "395+" or "400+" and "be experienced." I try not to join posts that say "noob friendly" or "no mic required." I am what you would call a casual in the sense that I do not require the same achievements that I have gotten nor do I require people to be the best in the game, but I don't like wasting more than 3 hours on a raid during a weekend. I know all of the mechanics and am very experienced in the raid, but I don't expect everyone to be the same. I see where you're coming from, but I personally think that in game rewards are just that: In game rewards. The reason that I raid is for the memories and experience. The rewards are just bragging rights. If you want to be elitist, at least make sure you're having fun with the people who need it most. 😊 Edit: Plus, nothing feels worse as a new raider than being kicked out of a fireteam before you even talk with the people. Instead of helping the community learn and get better, you elitists just selfishly do the raid for the rewards and discourage hundreds of people from even stepping into a raid. Shame on you.

I stopped using LFG for the fact that they think Tether is better than having a Titan with double melting point. And all their loadouts are dictated by YouTubers or "someone really good" told them what to use. I've found people in this game never think for themselves. Players on LFG need to be on a leash or they'll die.

                        • I'm only missing Gorgons 😂😂 I know every raid like the back of my hand they're so simple honestly I wouldn't consider Destiny's raids as a "raid" it's a over glorified strike They're not so mechanic heavy that it's impossible, the bosses themselves are simplistic in design, all of them don't even require you to be max level.......and you want a valor emblem as a requirement. I can understand you wanting a quick run but tone it down on the requirements so you don't look like some toxic elitist When you have people who can solo theses things that's clear indication that requirements don't have to be critical

                        • I ask to join so I can run my sons characters through the raids. He never has the emblems or the ridiculous weapon load out's lfg ask for. So your point means absolutely nothing. Not having an emblem means nothing. If they know the raid and can not be the one constantly causing wipes that's all that should count. I've seen teams just sitting around waiting for that golden guardian to join all the while I finished the raid But to each their own I guess

                          • You have 319 raid completion. That is decent. Now I understand that you help people hence you wanna finish yours quick. Only thing is, why you don't have a set team? I had in year 1 and 2. Then most of them moves, we three friends found three more decent raiders and made consistent team. Also when you help others learn raid, I am sure you can see who is good player. A stupid player will be stupid even after 1000 completions. I have carried people in year 1 through Crota and VOG because I could. With kingsfall and wrath you need a team, at least 4 competent players to carry other 2 - how do you do that?

                              • Here's the thing, if you put out a request looking for help on a Raid and you don't get what you expect than that's your own problem. If someone wasn't able to do the right strategy in a Raid however they met your requirements, it's your fault for making the poor judgement of allowing that player to join your group. Own it, it's your fault.
keep calm and carry on
• That's completely true. Your raid, your requirements. If you don't have it, move on to the next one. Simple as that. There has always been one thing that has annoyed me, it's more of a pet peeve. it's "numbers of completions". I mean how many times does one need to run a certain raid part before they get it? And even if they only had 1 completion I bet you they have probably spent many wipes doing and grinding that one section. Besides, after maybe 3-5 completions given they have wiped a handful of time each time, they probably know what to do. But hey, that's just me.

                                • Let me settle this quick and easy for the idiots on the forums. You ARE the leader, therefore you make the requirements. If I want all 5 players to have No Land Beyond for my raid then you better -blam!-ing have it. It's my raid, my rules. If I want all 5 players to have Sleeper stimulant, you better -blam!-ing have it. No questions asked. If I want my 2 team mates to have 2.0 KDs for trials, you better -blam!-ing have it. If I want my 2 team mates to only use Red Death for trials, you better -blam!-ing use it. My rules, my post, if you don't like it, make your OWN -blam!-ing post. How do people even argue with something so stupidly simple?
