Is devils dawn good
Is the devils dawn sniper good for pve(check my roll)

Definitely a good sniper and it looks cool. Yeah, there are snipers with better rolls that will outperform it, but it will certainly do the job.

Um... I don't think I need to check your roll... It's good, I like it, looks great, but ex machina or extended mag/triple tap omolon snipers are far better for PVE in the roll that snipers play in PVE (boss damage) but Devils dawn is more centered around add killing, so it's really nice for crota if you need something to take out the tower boomers since life support can still trigger

it's a good impact sniper. actually it has the highest damage per shot by just a bit. each headshot hit on a boss does 8020. Black spindle/Event Horizon do 7824. the problem is - with Event Horizon you can get different rolls (like triple tap, spray and play, etc) which will actually make Event Horizon do more dps over time.

Yes as it's a high impact sniper (near or equivalent to spindle) and also legendary which is good.

It's great, but either a well rolled event horizon or a ex machina (from Wrath of the Machine) are better for dps. It's a perfectly serviceable Sniper for pve, but the scope isn't for everyone and the perks are a little strange.

Yes, it's good. Sure, there are better snipers out there, but if that's what you've got, then use it. It hits hard, which is always a good thing for sniper rifles.

Every roll on Devil's Dawn is the same, and yes it's good.

32 RepliesIt's alright but the current Crucible vender Event Horizon is a near PvE god roll. If you have the legendary marks go buy it now. It's max impact with triple tap and extended mag. Very tough to beat that

The rolls on devils Dawn never change. It's locked in. That being said, it's still one of my favorite snipers
