Im a hunter main but have played on all 3. Vote on the class that rewards practice and getting good with it.

20 RepliesFrom what Ive seen in the crucible, gunslingers more so than any subclass are good in the right hands and terrible in the wrong ones. Defender also has a bit of a learning curve for pvp. Voidwalkers, Stormcallers and Sunbreakers probably require the least effort to get used to

1 ReplyI'm a warlock main and heres why I chose hunters; first off they have the least armor of all the classes, so straight off the bat they're the squishiest class and require the most tactical playstyle because they can be dropped so quickly. second if you look at they're supers they're all single target supers which require aiming (besides arc blade) what I mean is with a nova or a striker you can just panic and anyone in the vicinity is immediately dead but a tether has a long travel time and some bad projectile drop and has no aoe (assuming your using quiver which is all I see these days anyway) then there's golden gun which has no bonus armor and a super which requires precision (more than other supers anyway) and doesn't have a blast radius. Blade? well lets just compare that to storm, it doesn't last as long, only works on one target, requires you to be in melee distance and doest have an evade like ionic blink (no-one uses blink anymore lets be real) Now for the grenades, I'm just gonna take spikes and trip mines for example as they're kind of nigh stalkers and gunslingers 'signature' made right now, they're both the cone type grenade which has a large damage output but requires tactical placement on walls to be effective and while annoying sometimes takes a lot more skill than chucking a tracking nade at the ground or a sticky within 5 metres of someone. obviously this doesn't apply to blade as skips are stupidly easy to use. Melees, well gunslinger is the only class in the game that requires a precision headshot for their melee to be effective and blink strike offers barely any benefit over the normal melee anyway after the range got neutered but then smoke grenades are an exception and still one of the best melees in the game. so yeah thats basically it, took me ages to get good with a hunter but only days with a warlock and a titan, not saying which is more powerful, just hunters reward skill more.

6 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 3/21/2017 2:20:29 AMSkill is rewarded not just by the subclass you pick, but how you pilot the subclass with the knowledge of how other subclasses work and how enemy players behave. A good Voidwalker is equally as dangerous as a good Nightstalker or Striker if they have the knowledge, awareness, and experience to back it up.

Gg Hunter.
I have a grenade and a butter knife
No character class surpasses the other. It's been almost 3 years. When is shit like this gonna stop ?
-
It's really more about the player than it is the subclass lol. My lowest KD is on my hunter, and I play a lot of PvP on all 3. Or it just means I can't utilize hunters 😥 ~TheGreatNike

3 RepliesLol who chose warlocks???

2 RepliesLol people chose Warlock? Just another reminder that some people out there are clueless.

3 RepliesOf course the poll looks the way it does.

1 ReplyEdited by BlazeLord7: 3/23/2017 4:50:59 PMI'd say hunter because of it supers, bladedancer takes a bit of skill to use right in pve. However a good player can use any class and do well, a bad player is just bad no matter what.

1 ReplyHunter has hardish (not really) to use abilities with the steepest learning curve being nightstalker master it and you're the most annoying guardian in the match, titans have easier abilities with the defender being incredibly difficult to use but with the right player can really destroy kids and have you end up with a smile and an inbox full of hate mail, warlocks have the easiest time imo with sunsinger being the hardest to use but get good with fusion grenades and you're set you don't even need a gun.
ALL of that was My opinion please feel free to disagree with me
1 Replyhonestly hunter supers are underwhelming. shadow shot with quiver is basically a better golden gun and arc blade doesn't last long enough.
-
4 RepliesThe easiest to play are Titans. All they have to do is get near someone or something and press a button. Plus with Titan skating allowing them to move quick and high armor, it's not hard for them to do what they need to do.
-
I feel like voidwalker has some of the best abilities in the game, especially when paired with scatter grenades but in order to get the effects you really need to have a good grenade throw and sometimes a bit of luck but overall it feels really good with just about anything.
-
Anything without sticky nades or a bs super. Blade, hammers, storm.
-
Really all subclasses and classes are equally great in my opinion. It depends what your most skilled with. There is no one class better than the other

5 RepliesAll of them. I don't know why you made this, you're just going to get biased answers, and seeing as most forumgoers seem to be Hunters...

19 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 3/21/2017 12:10:48 PMAll of them and none of them. Each represents a different fighting style. With its own set of advantages and challenges. Hunters are extremely quick and agile, plus they get weapon handling bonuses. Though they have weak grenades, they have some of the best supers for PvP in the game. Titans (once skating is mastered) are fast and durable. They're supers aren't especially powerful....but their variety makes them versatile. Whatever job you need done, there's a Titan subclass for it. Warlocks are masters of damage. Often having both powerful supers and grenades....but they are slow and fragile compared to Hunters and Titans. So all three classes will reward skilled players. They just call upon DIFFERENT skills. Skill to both exploit what they are good at...and to compensate for what they are not good at.

2 RepliesThey all have their own "hard to perfect" things...
-
Any class. Stupid poll is stupid.
-
Hunter-Gunslinger. Its so rewarding getting those long distance throwing knife kills
-
1 ReplyBladedancer... Shit has been nerfed so many times if you still manage to make it work your a good player.
-
5 RepliesUmm, you missed 1...
Red Bar.
14 RepliesI'd argue gunslinger because it's always had great abilities and has probably been the least touched class over the history of Destiny.

Edited by Nobel Noah: 3/21/2017 1:40:51 PMGunslinger, Those throwing knives if you can land them combined with circle of life and a Hand cannon are just so beautiful, also the super is basically a free triple kill. Also if you believe that all you need to be good is gunplay then it has perks that basically give every gun you use outlaw that stacks, and a variation of Zen moment with stacks.
