If you are having this issue please bump and leave a comment this is simply to let bungie know how many people are being affected.
UPDATE: After talking to most everyone in the forums I have found out that most everyone having this issue have bought all previous DLC and purchased the standalone ROI add-on instead of Destiny the Collection. This is a big factor in the issue at hand. (Sending SOS signals to Bungie..)
UPDATE 2: I am hearing from a couple different people that if your service provider is MEDIACOM then you could be having issues downloading stuff from psn servers. Does anyone else run MEDIACOM? (that is my service provider)
UPDATE 3: I want to thank everyone for there input every little clue will help us diagnose the problem.
UPDATE 4: Ok so this seems to be isolated with MEDIACOM's service. This sounds crazy but if we all call MEDIACOM our collective inquiry may get a solution to this network issue.
UPDATE 5: Dawn of the 4th day without Destiny, Not heard a whole lot on a game plan or anything on either side. There are confirmed reports of people using Verizon and ATandT hotspots also confirmed on Comcast ISP, if you have access to any of those options I would try them out. Also feel free to make friends in this time of crisis and corruption. If anyone has found anything else let me know, ill be searching most of the day today (updated 9/22)
UPDATE 6: So I have heard multiple times that you need to wipe the console or your HDD is messed up, these are all false forms of trying to diagnose a problem in there networking. Nothing is wrong with your console people its how your ISP communicates with PSN. Please just try another ISP I can confirm that it is in fact Mediacoms connection or a combination of Console updates not working with the Application updates regardless my brothers Frontier connection is getting farther then mine ever did. Check back later to find out if it downloads successfully (should be around 6hrs from now slow connection speed).
UPDATE 7: Just got off the phone with Sony (7th time) the rep I spoke to a couple days ago gave me a list of port numbers to activate so I opened the ports no big deal didn't see any change. The rep I just spoke with today informed me that the other rep gave me the wrong port numbers she also stated that these new port numbers should work 100% if not then they will escalate it to there engineering team. The list of port numbers are (She said you have to have all ports open for it to work):
TCP - 80, 443, 465, 993, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080, 9293, 10050, 10051, 10040-10060
UDP - 2053, 3478, 3479, 3658, 6000-7000, 9304, 9296, 9297, 9303, 10070, 50000-60000
Try these out and tell me if they work, I am going to let my download finish on FRONTIER ISP but please let me know if you have any success with these. (Also take note of your IP address when you get these set up you need to make a custom connection for them to be active)
UPDATE 8: JUST HAD A BREAKTHROUGH! Ok so I used my brothers Frontier ISP to start my download when I went back to check on it I seen that it was going to take 66hrs to install (he runs 800kb : <) so I ended up pausing the download at 2gb took my console home to just trouble shoot again I used my smaller ethernet cable its a cat6 ran that to my ps4 and resumed the download at my place (60mb per second) I figured it would give me an error but it is chugging along got about 5 hours left! If this works Im going to freak out. Also on another smaller note I have contacted Sony one last time in a ditch effort to pull information out of them. I ended up escalating it to there engineering sector they are calling Bungie and told me to contact them in about 3 hours to hear the results, I stressed to Sony how we don't really have a dedicated customer support on Bungie's site so the lady said they would contact them for us. I will make the call later if others are still having issues I WANT EVERYONE TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AND NOT FEEL SO HOPELESS ABOUT THIS ISSUE CAUSE WE ARE NOT HEARING A GAME PLAN!
UPDATE 9: I played last night so it is a definite confirm on the ISP jumping method, just pay close attention to where your download freezes (this is a huge factor). Use your alternate form of internet to jump passed those points then switch to your original ISP. Some of the points that most people run into are the 207.5mb and 17gb ranges. Just stick with it you will be able to play if you run this method. I wish everyone luck and hopefully we get to play sometime.
PS I would like to add a lot of people from this thread as friends on PS4, just in case we have another issue like this we can work together again to find a solution. (and to beat raids haha) I just messed with my privacy settings you should be able to add me now, THANKS ALL!
PSS Hey Bungie can I have a job as customer support lol but for real though : >

1 ReplyThose ports don't work. Exact same ones I got Tuesday and tried.
-
Yep I'm on mediacom also and am having the same issue so add my name to the list of affected people.
-
2 RepliesI just tried to send you a friend's request but you have settings in place to prevent that
-
Well I do believe this is a Mediacom issue more then bungie because I took my PS4 to work and I have frontier here and all 4 games that I had that are corrupted are downloading past the places they stopped on my Mediacom ...
-
7 Repliesdo u know how to do this lol with ports and custom connection
-
3 RepliesI have use the exact port numbers and it still did NOT go through. She even rinse lather and repeat. Exact same numbers. Thank you for the hard work.
-
9 Replieshow do you change ports?
-
1 ReplyI started a thread on mediacoms internet support forums (I have had better luck in the past getting results from them as opposed to phone support) If folks would be so kind as to head over there and add your voice. https://forums.mediacomcable.com/index.php?board=4.0

9 RepliesEdited by VaultSurviver88: 9/22/2016 2:24:49 PMCurrently testing the ISP FRONTIER I will let everyone know if it is successful. UPDATE: Confirmed we are passed the 207.5mb mark!!! The connection is substantially slower then my Mediacom connections so it maybe 6hrs or so before it will finish, but hey Im cool with that as long as I get to play. I highly suggest getting ahold of friends or family members to test this out. Mediacom not helping me that much is about to lose my monthly payments.

18 RepliesUser from IL. nothing works. NOTHING!

1 ReplyIf you're having issues try downloading other large updates or games. I have been having other large DLs failing over PSN. I don't think it seems to be isolated to Destiny only, but I think Destiny is getting the worst of it as other games at least try and fail to DL. Destiny seems to hang up and do nothing. I am also in Illinois and have Mediacom.

2 RepliesEdited by Misaki Satsuki: 9/22/2016 2:50:02 PMLucky butt lol. you can access another ISP me I cant.
-
5 RepliesWell guess I'll eat my words. Tried my Verizon hotspot for a 3rd time and it took me past the 207.5. Paused the download and reconnected to my home wifi and it wouldn't progress. So it does work from another internet source but unfortunately I can't install the whole 30 some gigs from my hot spot. If Sony wouldn't have suggested I delete the entire game I'd be in business.
-
4 RepliesI've been having the same problem also with 2k17 I believe it may be the fact medicos servers are having trouble which doesn't allow big downloads to finish multiple downloads under 5gb have been fine but other large ones give me corrupted data error code

25 RepliesEdited by SilverCyric: 9/22/2016 1:31:20 AMWas just talking with another dude and we came up with a cool idea... We should all start a clan for those of us that went through all this. You know, call it the Mediacom Mangled Guardians or something that actually sounds cool 😎 hehe

2 RepliesAlso having the issue. Even tried using my Verizon phone as a hot spot and it did the same stall at 207.5. I do have mediacom. I'm lost on ideas. It's time Bungie puts this fix into high gear.
-
3 RepliesAnyone know if I buy the hard copy of ROI do I need to do the 1.28 update? I'd be shelling out 60 but -blam!- I figure I'll play until they fix it and then return it for some of my money back. Sucks to spend more but I got the whole weekend to myself and could get sone serious grinding in.

11 RepliesBUMP!!!! Having same problem, I have done the following with no luck 1. changed DNS to Google 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 2. Tried to restart, cancel and delete and then restart the download. 3. completely delete the game (because I couldn't play it anyway) then tried to reinstall it. 4. cleared my cache. 5. signed out of my profile and back in. 6. reset the ps4 as my home. 7. then also initialized my ps4 (easy/quick) 8. none of this worked so called sony and the walked me threw how to clear all corrupted data from the ps4. and this still did not help. I then repeated steps 7 & 8 and still have nothing. now I cant even play the game at all. so I just spent $30 for nothing, this is more disappointing then the lack of content I hear other people complaining about. any suggestions?

7 RepliesI made a thread about this, but I want to post it here as well: I have Mediacom Internet and was having the problem with corrupted downloads, you can see my other posts about this topic for how that went. I took my PS4 to a friend of mine who as Comcast Internet. When I first hooked it up (with a wireless connection) it didn’t work, same senerio of freezing on 207.5MB (I had to download the whole game again) I was going to hang out with him for awhile anyway so I figured I’d try a second time, and this time I put it in rest mode after starting it. 3 Hours later I checked on it, expecting it to have failed, and It was within 5GB of being finished downloading. Long story shorter, it finished and it worked. I started the game and went to the tower. I just got home and haven’t tried playing it yet, but the download finally worked. I have no idea how this works, but it really could be an issue with Mediacom. With that said, I’m going to (FINALLY) attempt to play this as I drink some beers and be happy I have tomorrow off. I will check up on this once the issue is resolved, because I have no idea why just Destiny downloads would be a problem with an ISP. For now, provided it plays), I’m going to do that.

2 RepliesOn Mediacom in Des Moines, IA. Fails every time. Tried every recommended fix. Nothing. Am an original Destiny user with all paid DLC up to this point.
