I love Destiny. I have played over 700 hours. I want what is best for the game.
I think that having Destiny on the PC will help the game. It will allow Bungie to create more features in the game. Like
• Grimoire Card accessibly in game
• Destructible drop ships.
• 1080p 60fps
• Unlimited Vault Space
• Faster patches
• Dedicated servers
• CTE ( Community Test Environment )
• Cross Play with Xbox One
• Faster loading times
Those are just some of the reasons that I would like for Destiny to be on PC. If you disagree with me leave a comment pls.

Why would you get dedicated servers on pc if you don't get them on console?
-
17 Replies-and a community 100× more toxic than the existing one
-
But those can all be achieved on Xbox one and PS4. The major reason why those aren't is because Destiny was built on old gen hardware.
-
The main reason is my right thumb gets a little achy if I play too much, like in Iron Banner. One of the drawbacks of being an older guy I guess.
-
Destiny is the only reason I'm still on console. I'd love for at least destiny 2 to come over to PC.

2 RepliesAs someone who hates fps games using a controller, I would really love Destiny to come to PC. It has been a struggle learning how to use the controller but i would rather use mouse and keyboard if possible. All these "pc can get hacked easily blah blah blah". Bungie can always do to hackers the way Blizzard dealt with them on Overwatch.

🎶OHHH HELLLL NOooOOO🎶 *sings in black man voice*

I think I'll pass too... think of all the unbalanced gameplay like modders and even more lag switchers...
-
Naw, I'll pass Some of these problems would not be solved porting it to PC, Others will already be solved by dropping legacy consoles and moving into year three
-
1 ReplyIt will never happen. I mainly play on PC and as much as I would like it to, it won't. Moving it to PC won't magically solve the problems the game has though, except the sub-par frame rate. Just have fun and enjoy it on xb1/ps4 and try not to dream of how it would be on PC. But LOL at the people below getting outraged who clearly don't understand the hardware they use everyday. Writing you walls of text with wrong information they read somewhere on the internet, like they told you off or something.

6 RepliesWe can have CTE too...

• Grimoire Card accessibly in game
False That is not necessarily a "PC" specific item. Bungie would have to implement something withing the core game data that would allow access to this information.
• Destructible drop ships.
Unsure of what you're talking about... but then again this not a "PC" specific item. Destructible environments would have to added to the core game data.
• 1080p 60fps
What is it with people throwing out this so-called 'magic' bar?
• Unlimited Vault Space
False Being on one platform doesn't automatically mean that you get unlimited storage, especially when the information is stored on a server and not locally..
• Faster patches
False How does having 'faster patches' make having Destiny on the PC better? They would still have the approval process on the consoles and if you're adding in the Cross Play (or Play anywhere) - then that alone would force the patching on the PC to be more line to the console cycle. Negating the "faster patching"
• Dedicated servers
False. This is neither a PC or console specific item. Bungie would have to implement a back-end infrastructure and better NetCode to support dedicated servers and then implement dedicated servers.
• CTE ( Community Test Environment )
False Bungie would have to setup and maintain a public test environment for all platforms in order to thoroughly test patches or new features in order to ensure that if works on one platform it works across all platforms.
• Faster loading times
Partially true. This very dependent on the PC Build and components being used. From the type of GPU being used to total amount of RAM (on top of total number of processes utilizing the RAM at the time) to the type of hard drive that a game is installed (HDD vs. Hybrid Drive vs. SSD) It also depends how the PC version would be coded and whether or not it's designed to render in real time vs. relying on rendering from cache. Not mention if the PC version is a straight-up port or something that was specifically developed for the PC. Bungie has said that they haven't ruled out bringing Destiny to the PC and it's something that they would like to do.. but I would imagine that they would have to look at it from a technological and financial stand-point whether it's feasible to bring Destiny to the PC. tl;dr: Because it's on the PC doesn't automatically mean it's better than the console version or more importantly better for Destiny.

Sure, and don't forget the mods and hacks. Plenty of ways a player could do client side hacks that would give them an advantage without showing up on the server side to get spotted. All enemies highlighted like some weapons do when scoped. Swapping armor models for large NPC models to make your opponents stand out. The list could go on and on.

3 RepliesMay be way off base, but I've been wondering if maybe the reason we can't yet pre-order on Xbox is because they are wrestling with Microsoft on whether or not Destiny should be "Play Anywhere" compatible to be playable on PCs. Maybe MS pushing for all developers to be Play Anywhere, but Bungie not wanting to and holding out on offering pre-order...IDK

Edited by NobodyJustBrad: 7/22/2016 4:11:51 PMA) all of these things can be achieved on current gen by dropping legacy consoles, some just with extra Dev work, except for... B) unlimited vault space. Lol. No. Never going to happen.
-
Everything listed here can be done on consoles too

Edited by contra_reality: 7/22/2016 4:04:43 PMCross play with XBOX One? You do realize how much easier it is to play FPS with mouse and keyboard, right? Xbox players would get dominated by PC players. That and the current state of snipers would make the game unplayable. ADS? What ADS? No scope for dayz! Oh and cheats, let's not forget the cheats. You think people cheat now? You ain't seen nothing yet...

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure all these things can happen now that they're dropping last gen. Does activision put out pc games?
-
10 RepliesLet's not forget that Destiny has no kill cam. What my predictions would be? Aimbots and wallhacks everywhere.
-
6 RepliesAlmost none of those are true, or rather they aren't simply going to happen because of PC.
-
1 Reply
Cross play with Xbox One
Then nobody would be able to out gun a PC player since it is super accurate.

Proper mouse and keyboard support, FOV and graphical options. The most critical thing is a community that is more thoughtful and caring about the criticism made. Only problem is we need a developer that cares about the game also. Which bungie does not as they are on destiny 2 and can't even if they wanted too.
-
And a bigger community maybe community maps and servers with like 1v1 modes and stuff
