In this video I'm using a LEVEL 34 Titan and I manage to get 30 kills and over 20 kills with shoulder charge.
It literally takes no skill to use, and shouldn't be able to be used over and over constantly
EDIT: All the Titans trying to protect the crutch shoulder charge would loose there minds if a hunter or warlock got a one hit melee which would proc every 5 seconds
Wonder how people would react if hunters got frontstab every 3-5 seconds
Also most the people commenting that I died and traded with most kills, and how I ended up with a 1.25KD that match but that KD is higher than what you have...
EDIT: I put in level because I can't use guns which requires to be level 40, secondly at lower than level 40 I really can't have a good int/dis/str set up
It's representing that you can do good with just shoulder charge without having a good set up

1 ReplyShoulder charges belong in hockey not fps

3 RepliesNice joke, but seriously stop nerfing and start bugging.

Literally built your class around using only shoulder charge, barely beats the average gunslingers K/D. "THIS SHIT IS OP" Sure it is friend, sure it is.

1 ReplyFirst of all you're lying. Why you may ask simple you have equipped an exotic leg Armour the increases the duration of shoulder charge. It helped you get more then 9 of you're kills. OP #exposed #bannerfingposts

23 RepliesEdited by Joyaboi: 6/28/2016 7:08:42 PMLets get this straight: you think Shoulder Charge is op? Lets get this math down for a second. You killed a total of 21 people using shoulder charge in a single game of control. First the implications of this is horrifying. You can get 21 kills from any one ability. I have with all sorts of grenades and melee abilities just -blam!-ing around. But back to math. For the 21 kills you got with Shoulder Charge, 9 got you immediately killed afterwards. That means of every kill you get with shoulder charge, 43% also got you killed in the process. I would like to see that with other abilities. How many times did getting a throwing knife kill mean getting yourself killed in the process? What about a scatter grenade? Lets also throw in the amount of attempts that got you killed without getting you a kill. Now I didn't count this but I saw at least one "Back in action". Now for your sake, lets say you got killed 10 times trying to kill someone with shoulder charge (I am being generous with this assumption since you died 24 times). This means that 68% of attempted Shoulder charges got you kills. Of every Shoulder Charge you did, only 38% got you a kill you could walk away from. This is far below many one hit abilities like many grenades including incendiary or scatter grenades. Are they overpowered? Once I also tried to get only Blink Stab (The name leaves me at the moment. Blade Dancer melee) and backstab. While I walked away with a negative KD, of my attempted Blinkstab kills, 63% allowed me to walk away alive with a kill under my belt. (Ironically this took place on Drifter). Does this make blinkstab op? No. On top of all of this, you did it on one of the best maps for Shoulder Charge, as it is one of the smallest maps. What would have happened if this was on Shores of Time? Tl;dr His point was to say that shoulder charge is OP. Ease of kill and OP are not the same thing. That was my point. I showed that, despite that it may be easy to get kills with, it is (and was) easily countered. That means it cannot be op because even though it is easy to get kills with, it is a dangerous "high risk, high reward" ability, much like shotguns

So...how many deaths did you get? Ya...seems pretty balanced to me

3 RepliesDidn't watch your shitty video. Muted.

Level does not matter in Crucible, except a few select modes. And trades don't count.

1 ReplyEdited by RolltideJB77: 6/28/2016 10:30:24 PMSo you ending up with a negative kd if we are just talking shoulder charge encounters Calls for a nerf? GTFO of here you're drunk

You got slapped after damn near every shoulder charge though. I could understand if you pulled a we ran out of medals or something but you traded most of the time.

First off, level doesn't really mean anything. All it means is you can't use certain weapons like year two exotics. Which doesn't matter since all you did was shoulder charge. Second, Shoulder charge is a situational ability. I already knew what the map was because Drifter is one of the best maps for it. (Anomaly is another one) I can almost guarantee if you were on a bigger map, this wouldn't happen. If I wanted to prove snipers op, I wouldn't go to Drifter. I would go to a map where I could get easy snipes like Pantheon. Finally, just because it is easy to use, doesn't make it op. There are plenty of counters to Shoulder charge. Shotguns, fusion rifles and sidearms will all stop a Shoulder Charging Titan before he gets to you. Not to mention map and player awareness. If I know the is someone shoulder charging, I may switch to a shotgun. Or I may stay away from corners and confined spaces. You have to be willing to adapt to win. So, is shoulder charge op? Nope, not if you are willing to adapt to try and beat it

1 Reply"No skill" You -blam!-ing kids are ruining this game. Delete your account, break your console and git gud

Sweet! Looks like it works as intended. Keep up the good work Buddy.....

5 RepliesBefore I opened the vid I knew this was going to be on the drifter map. It's the easiest map to shoulder charge. All of that charging and you still only managed to get a 1.25 kd. You got yourself killed trying to use shoulder charge just as often as you got a kill. Your right that it doesn't take skill to shoulder charge. Just like it doesn't take skill to shotgun, or snipe, or fusion or shadestep, or blink. It takes skill to do those things WELL. Which in most cases means surviving to do it again. If anything, the vid proves that an average shoulder charger can get a lot of kills, and die a lot, on a map that limits vertical movement.

You're wearing stand asides, an exotic leg armor that helped you get at least 8 of your SC kills. So even with the help of an exotic that makes SC better, you barely managed to go positive, & I'm sure your shoulder charge kd was negative for that game.

The fact that you start your argument off with stating you're a level 34 shows how low of a Crucible-IQ you have. Guardian light has no impact in normal Crucible. Next, you take into consideration the fact that you were on a map which has narrow halls everywhere, which favor shoulder charge, and it makes your argument further invalid. And finally, as a 34, you are only capable of playing the classic Crucible modes, where the minority of players are who decided not to upgrade to TTK. Those players aren't as good as those who take the game series enough to buy TTK. Do I need anymore points here? Shoulder charge is in no way overpowered.

6 RepliesThat's it? Pssh. I posted a video on Friday with 34 kills, 27 with shoulder charge, no weapons fired.

Edited by Tamed: 6/28/2016 6:24:25 PMI disagree. Shoulder Charge is only viable against bad players. When you go up against someone like me who thinks everyone coming towards me on the radar is a shoulder charging Titan or has a shotgun, you're going to get maybe 1 shoulder charge off. 9/10 I'm going to jump up before you come around the corner and shoot you in the ass with my shotgun or fusion rifle as you miss or run right past me. When I play on my Stiker with SC, I don't even use it for kills 90% of the time. I use it for the mobility. Anyone who allows themselves to get SC'd repeatedly in a match is a bad player. It's honestly not that great of a perk imo and it actually has counters. Viking Funeral did not have a counter.

This is one of the best maps for shoulder charge because it is small with plenty of corners to run around where your opponent will be blind until you are literally on top of them. Running with a shotgun would have yelled very similar results. Most of your opponents did not seem to learn much from your encounters, so playing against potatoe heads can't hurt either. Even though you were in basically the perfect storm of shoulder charging conditions, you still barely managed to break even on K/D. You traded almost every kill. Yup, sounds really OP to me... In case you didn't smell it, that was sarcasm... Show me some shoulder charge only unbroken medals and then we can talk about what's OP...
