Now.... why are dregs immune to being taken? Does oryx not like dregs.
Now there are taken , thrall, wizards, knights, ogres, goblins, hobgoblins, Minotaurs, vandals, captains, and servitors....but no dregs?

Taken Legionaries and Colossuses (Colossi? Colossians?) Also don't have Taken version. They can make a Taken Valus but not a Legionary. Also shanks and servitors, but they are not biological. #TitanMasterRace

Because bungie didn't have time to make a taken version of dregs and a siva version of dregs in the upcoming rude of iron. It's taken them all this time just to make the siva dregs lol jk

When oryx "takes" them he makes them into their perfect form which would make dregs be vandals with all four arms, I think that's how it is anyway. If this makes more sense how thralls are harmless by themselves but have strength in numbers like the crota's end raid. But when oryx "takes" them, they can copy themselves to make more, strength in numbers. Disclaimer: I meant psions not the thrall lol

2 RepliesBecause when something gets taken, it gets given the thing it wants most. For dregs it would be their 3rd and 4th arms, which would make them a vandal.

Dregs are just low ranking vandals, the only thing different about them and vandals is how much eather they are allowed to eat and if they get to keep their arms. Why would Oryx take the lower class of the same race when he could have the higher class? With the other factions their are things that make the differences, Vex have different chassis, (still don't know how the keep working after they are disconnected from their over mind) the Hive grow into different specialized forms, and the cabal is two different races. Their is just no reason to take a dreg instead of a vandal.

3 RepliesBeing Taken is being ripped from this dimension into another where you're shown your "perfect form", that is the Darkness shows you as a being assimilated to the its ideology then put back into the dimension it was taken from. It could be that dregs and servitors and any other unit without a taken variant simply cannot be persuaded into believing in this "perfect form".
