Now there are taken , thrall, wizards, knights, ogres, goblins, hobgoblins, Minotaurs, vandals, captains, and servitors....but no dregs?
-
3 RepliesDregs were once vandals so i guess when oryx took them they were restored to vandals. He bribes or tricks the taken to fight. Read that grimoire
-
Dregs are like grunts. Would you want to steal grunts for a war? Thrall are similar to grunts but they have # for compensation
-
When they lost their arms, it is the most humiliation they can have, so basically their "will" is already gone and you can't take what's not there.
-
they were supposed to have the vandal shield, idk what changed
-
14 RepliesHow about those poor shanks? They just want some love.
-
3 RepliesBecause there's one thing oryx fears and that's Greg the dreg
-
The name says it all.
-
7 RepliesDregs are useless. They cannot have a perfect from
-
It wasn't in bungie budget.
-
There are no taken servitors. He can only take what is alive.
-
It is because oryx doesn't like taking dregs
-
they become beautiful, graceful vandals that camp in theirs bs bubbles.
-
nobody likes dregs, can you blame Oryx?
-
1 ReplyWhat about shanks and harpies?
-
Dregs are useless cannon fodder. Also, Oryx never took servitors. Or any real robotic enemy. I:E Shanks, Servitors, Harpies.

2 RepliesEdited by ragdag: 6/27/2016 3:16:09 PMI think it's because dregs have their second set of arms locked until they prove them selves to become vandals. Dregs aren't worthy.
-
No taken harpies either, which suggests they are not worth the effort. Thrall would be as they are in great supply for oryx.
-
1 ReplyVandal protects them, oryx doesnt have enough power to take on randal
-
Cause he is racist
-
2 RepliesI think there are taken dregs...
-
I'm guessing he doesn't think they are worthy?
-
Clearly he is just racist. We should all boycott him for being a filthy racist against the poor little dregs
-
4 RepliesJust imagine a taken colossus
-
5 RepliesPerhaps it is because Dregs aren't fractals. Oryx's shape fetish is based on fractals, which is a concept in chaos theory that states that things retain similar shapes at all scales. A popular example is that of a mountain. From a great distance a mountain maintains it's cragged shape. And as you get closer and closer, it retains it's same general shape of craggedness. Even down to the microscope, the mountain retains a cragged crystalline shape. And therefore I posit that Dregs aren't fractals because of their lack of arms and are not of interest or use to Oryx because he needs fractals to bring about his perfect final shape.
-
When Oryx takes his victims, they still retain the shape of their soul. A Fallen Dreg's soul, regardless of what has happened physically to it, would still have the second pair of arms. As for Oryx taking his victims, and satisfying his thirst for light, they are left with a torn fragment of their soul. This is why the Taken are colored the way they are: They are basically husks where the remainder of their soul/Light is settling in the lower areas of their physical body. You don't see Taken Servitors because they are purely mechanical, just like Shanks.

5 RepliesDon't worry, Dregs are the featured, reskinned enemy for ROI. Everything will get the reskin us players deserve in due time!
