Only thing I really have a sort of problem with is Shadestep, purely for PvE purposes. Used it in PvP too, but I mostly just Gunslinger now. Shade step was helpful with a fast movement getting out of Blast Radiuses for Shield Brothers, dodging out of hard situations to avoid dying, that sort of thing. At least it'll be easier to get those Hunter Cloaks now.

Edited by Zephyr: 6/14/2016 7:06:59 AMThe throwing knife change?.... Wut? Why?! That makes them practically useless in PvE so the new perk is gonna proc.... Never.
-
Its really not that bad. Honestly all the changes seem pretty fair.

2 RepliesAs someone who's mained a ret paladin since Feb 05, I'll keep maining my hunter with little to no problem. It fits my view of the game.

Hunters were not nerfed, they were changed. Bladedancer is now optimal for sneaking up on enemies, and quickly taking them down, instead of spamming your right bumper. Utilizing the Vanish perk is very helpful for doing so. Nightstalkers have a variety of ways to damage their opponent before a firefight begins, and have access to a quick dodge to make up for where they may be losing a firefight. Shadestep is optimal for choosing your fights, instead of letting them choose you. Gunslinger Trip Mines are great for getting damage on flanking opponents. Having a Tripmine one shot kill would be a little bit too powerful in the current slower gameplay this year. Throwing Knives are tweaked so they cannot one shot to the head with Incendiary Blade, but are still great to use with precision weapons such as hand cannons. Bungie is working very hard on changing pvp for the better, we need to come together as a community to make this game better. Imagine if nobody argued, and the community could work together. There are endless possibilities, that IS why we play. Every one of us sees the huge potential of this game, and it can only get better from here.

Ill bet anything that lightning grenades will be on the chopping block soon. Watch

As a hunter, I'm actually okay with are changes, I mostly only shade step once, and I never use my blade for mobility, and thank you! They're finally increasing the damage for golden gun, I'm tired of the golden gun not being able to 3 shot major captains.
-
Chain of Woe gives +1 recovery so now I can run fast reload instead of OTH along with Gunslinger's Trance AND tether activates upon impact? That was a -blam!-ing good read!
-
5 RepliesIm dont really understand the nerfs on blade dancers. Were supposed to be the most agile class yet they take away our agility by nerfing blink and blade dance strike time. Although im glad for the damage buff for pve.
-
5 RepliesIt was the best update I've read in a long time.

4 RepliesTo good blade dancers this is a plus You'll be able to get a few more kills per super To scrubs who mash the button, sucks to be you It's a lot like stormcallers nerf. You used to be able to hold RT for 25 seconds without penalty. You should have seen this coming The trip mine? Suck it up. Maiming axion I never get a one hit nade. Learn to use your grenade to set traps like it was meant to.

1 ReplyEdited by F1durb: 6/14/2016 7:57:06 AMMan your post was a tough read, considering how -blam!-ing stupid you are

Edited by Synergy-Seven: 6/14/2016 7:35:17 AMI can see it now: Hunter pops Arcblade, everyone around him simply starts floating up in the air above him until the super wears off. "The ground is lava guys ;) " The only good thing about this 0.8 second delay between airborne swings is that the hunter can now deplete his energy 20% quicker, so he can start using his weapons.

After the great Titan Nerf I mained a Bladedancer. Now I guess it's off to Voidwalker. Well, until they Nerf that into the ground.
-
2 RepliesThis just means I'm gonna have to teabag every titan and warlock I kill now. For a long time I've tried to stay away from the meta but now. Now it's on!!!

Edited by Animal Mother: 6/14/2016 7:04:12 AMBladedancers running around like retards and getting massacred because they have the weakest armor of any super aside from gg. Oh, and they a whole extra 2 seconds to chase people around the map!! Gg Bungie.
one-one thousand, two-one thousand... Idt that counts as a buff
1 ReplyEdited by ruppettypuppetty: 6/14/2016 6:47:04 AMSooo in what way is blade dead? Quickdraw still a thing? Ok cool, I'm good. Heck for all the other things that got rebalance they could take my super in trade and I'd still use it.
-
Not really. Only a shame that they did not update any of the exotics. Double swarm grenade would have been fun instead of trip mine. Bladedancer means you need to be smarter when you active and not just run around half of the map. Very happy with HC buff. All in all seems that PvP will be more fun now and less frustrating.
Sunsinger got kicked in the nuts though
-
The only thing I disagree with, and this is coming from a titan main. Is the whole nerfing of the tripmines damage and the throwing knife....? The sticking of a trip mine made no sense but I dont see why the damage has to be taken.
-
If hunters are dead, that just means I'll be -blam!-in' shit up from beyond the grave.
-
3 RepliesHunter main here i could honestly care less about the changes its a game I play it to relax after work and chill with friends not to be a digital beast
-
I think it creates more opportunities for different combos to be tested and I'm glad they re looked at hand cannons!
