Those that say fire DeeJ
I guarantee each and every one of you saying DeeJ should be fired are teens. No adult would demand he lose his job. Only teens who have no idea what it means to have a career are the ones getting butthurt that he actually had the balls to call that dbag's bluff. You have NO CLUE what his job requirements are, and I promise you, they aren't to make you happy. So quit your -blam!-ing whining, he doesn't owe you, me, or anyone shit. When his bosses tell him to release information, he will. Until then, suck it up.

I have a lot of issues with Bungie and Destiny, but I agree calling for someone to be fired over a sarcastic comment - especially when there is so much hypocracy around here - is going too far. That being said, I highly doubt Bungie are paying any attention to the people calling this. DeeJ is doing the job Bungie wants him to do, if he wasn't they likely would have disciplined or fired him themselves. It may not be to everyone's liking, but that's how it is.

The fact that Deej was asked to apologize from corporate or felt he needed to for a joke is mind numbingly frustrating. It's very scary to witness the community in this forums mental regression. 17 RepliesI'm an adult and I think there are nicer, less sarcastic, and more qualified individuals who could do a better job than Deej. The fact Luke and Deej even [i]have[/i] jobs after this last year speaks absolute volumes to the mindset of Bungie decision makers. Luke especially. DeeJ I [i]almost[/i] feel sorry for, at least Luke can go back to his cubicle and vigorously stroke his neckbeard when the community lashes out against them for being assholes.

DeeJ only does as his told, just like any other employee... Could he handle situation better? Sure... Couldn't we all... Should he play Destiny more? Definitely!!! Because then he'd know what we're all going on about! But, on the whole, he's ok, and I actually feel sorry for him, as the brunt of people's frustration with this game is aimed at him. i really don't care if he makes jokes at people. what i care about is him keeping us up to date on what's going on and actually showing some degree on understanding with what gets frequently posted. one example. most of us want SBMM gone. we know there are far fewer players out there and want something that prioritizes ping. they have never responded to this and just keep giving us these half ass "blended" settings and of course we are told nothing about what those actually are.

People are pricks plain and simple, but he signed up for the job and he knew what it was. If I taunted a customer and then blasted all over the Internet or social media, guaranteed I'm at the very least getting reprimanded possibly fired.

10 Replies45 year old married father of two , company director. The one thing despite how I feel I would never do is insult the means of supporting my business. He should think before he opens his mouth, that's why he's had to issue an apology. The damage , to more than half the community is done , he will be remembered for this slip , intensional or not . And in my opinion it serves him right .

His smug/arogant ways has pushed this adult away from the game, as I'm sure he's done to others of all ages. At a time where it's clear the community wants long overdue information, his jest was in poor taste. And personally a firing is not called for, but his wings being clipped was long overdue.
