I've made some threads wondering what to pre-order and I decided to wait for reviews and yada yada. Now my question is since a lot of people have played the game. Is the Division worth my $60 or wait for No man sky? I love shooters and I loved the beta for THe Division but I heard the reviews for the full game werent so great.

1. I stopped listening to critics years ago. a. Because no one can tell me whether or not I'll like a game/movie/TV show, etc... b. Because many critics are themselves frustrated/blocked creative themselves. So they take the same vicious attitude that doesn't allow them to make anything...and apply it to other people's work. So they generally have nothing nice to say about anyone's work. c. Negativity gets you attention. So bad mouthing the current "big thing" is a good way to get people to notice you. 2. I can't tell you how to spend your money or whether you'll like a game any more than any would-be critic would. 3. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING TO GET OUT OF THE GAME? If you are simply looking to have a game that is fun to play...AND YOU ENJOYED PLAYING THE BETA...what are you waiting for? Its the same game you played in the beta...JUST MORE SO. If you are looking to get more than just a game that is fun to play...then what IS it you're looking for...and why are you looking for it here? Too many people come to games with unrealistic notions about content, and that a game should "blow them away" or "change gaming" in some way. I can account for every single time I've had some piece of entertainment rock my world that hard. Star Wars: In 1977 no one else was making movies like that. Independence Day: in 1996, no one else was making movies like that. The Matrix: in 1999, no one else was making movies like that. The Lord of the Rings: The last time novel was turned into a movie by fans with that much love and attention to detail.....it gave us "Gone With the Wind". IOW, people want an extremely rare event to be common place...and it just isn't going to happen. If money is an issue, remember its three months before No Man's Sky comes out...and no one really knows what that game is going to be like. We've all just kind of fallen in love with the idea of an OPEN UNIVERSE game....we don't really know much about the game PLAY itself yet.

I'm still not sold on no man's sky either. I get that there's like a zillion unique algorithmically generated planets...however the point is still pretty much the same for each planet, explore and farm material. I am trying to remain optimistic but that's prolly gonna get old quick...?

Edited by Ti84 plus: 3/8/2016 7:43:23 PMBoring as hell. You could walk for 30 minutes in New York and find jacked shit. 95% of the buildings are inaccessible. Bullet Sponge enemies.

3 RepliesDon't ever pre order period ok there's no point it's not like they will ever run out as a consumer we actually miss out on content by offering money to something that isn't even put yet thus making companies care less and try to make most of the profit based on preorders rather than a good review.

3 RepliesI don't see how someone could review a game like that within 24 hours. Unless it turns out to be really short like Destiny and people can beat the main missions in a day and then be like wtf?..
