Everyone uses the same guns
The meta is really feeling dull. Tlw vs tlw battles feels like anything can happen. Either half the shots miss or they dont. And why arent there more snipers that are equal to the 1000 yard? The pusle rifle meta felt the best because that took more gunskill. Sorry i know im ranting but damn. Im sure most of you know how i feel. I really wish there was space for more guns to be used competitively.
EDIT: wow I did not expect so many responses. Its nice to see so many different opinions. I agree that this isnt the worst meta but its not the best either. Theres over 100 guns in the game and yet we can only use a select few to stand a fighting chance. That's where i think pvp needs some improvement.

I honestly suck with TLW. I'm done using mida, I'm gonna start using monte carlo. I have no strength so the exotic perk actually works well.

How did prs take more skill. Lol. All they did was balance the range. So now if you want to "snipe" without using a sniper, itll be a scout instead of a pulse... which makes more sense. Like seriously.

You can use what you want to use. You mention being competitive and it's a fair point but a lot of people just use guns they see others using and never think to experiment and see what suits their style. I'm not good in PvP and tend to use a variety of auto rifles just because I find them fun to use. Am I competitive ?. Not in terms of results perhaps (but then I've had two strokes and have no reflexes) but I have decent games and it's very rare that I come bottom these days. So, I don't feel totally outgunned. I don't have many fancy weapons anyway. I don't have any quest weapons and only one or two exotics so I use almost exclusively legendaries. Still have fun though..

I'll definitely try out TLW if I ever get my hands on it.. or any other exotic weapon. Lol. For now I'll just stick with my random blue scout rifle with outlaw. It seems to be doing alright for me. Oh, and my Stillpiercer. Loving that gun for it's looks as much as anything else.

I like to use hawkmoon, although at times it can be a little inconsistent with its hit detection.

There are plenty of guns that are extremely viable. Most people just use what is easily accessible and has confirmed roles. At the end of the day, being comfortable with what you're using is most important. Doesn't matter what it is as long as you can use it effectively.

Everyone uses the same guns because Xur sells them. Get rid of Xur and you'll have more parody. I have used the Mida since year one and rarely was in a crucible match when someone else used it. Then came that tentacle faced SOB who started selling it and now everyone has it. Lame.

I mean destiny just needs to get patched more often so it's meta doesn't have time to stagnate, like it is right now.

1 ReplyGo play inferno rumble, very few secondaries used and a lot more gun diversity. I used suros regime and Monte Carlo and a few other weapons off the meta.

4 RepliesHOW had people using the biggest variety of guns. Then TTK came out and now we're back to everyone using similar load outs. Bring year 1 forward and you will have variety again.

Play some Classic crucible. The most diverse it can get. And its not just people using thorn.

1 ReplyThis is exactly right. You can use the other guns but your grasping at air when fighting a meta gun. Takes way too much "skill" to beat the MIDA with another scout rifle or take down The Last Word with a different hand cannon. More likely your going to lose to those people even if you get some good kills in on them.

Personally I don't care for tlw or mida, I like using the iron banner scout or the inward lamp.
