IB RIFT = TOTAL BORING
Bring back control as soon as possible. No1 like rift.
IB was control since year 1 and should be control. Stop your dumb ideas.

I get the reasons being stated. Any game mode favors a team that works together, but Rift heavily relies on players using team work. So if you go in alone there is a good chance you may be outmatched. Remember there are a ton of places to solicit better teammates, including our own [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Topics/0/Default/None/Recruitment]#Recruitment forum[/url]. We'll be collecting feedback so tell so stay vocal about your thoughts on Rift. Do you like Rift, do you hate Rift? Do you want IB to always be Control? Did you enjoy Clash better? Let us know.

3 RepliesI think the multiple options for game types is the best idea I've heard for IB... It should never be solely such a specific game type... If you want to experiment then make it a second option instead... The problem with Rift at this point is you are having so many people bail on this games for others that it is a bad time to be coming out with an IB requiring a full fireteam... It is the most lopsided crucible game type I have ever played since it started... More people than ever are bailing on matches and getting Mercied... Yes there are places to go find a fireteam but I have had very mixed experiences with finding not only good players in those places but good people as well... Then even if I do find 5 other ransoms I don't know them or how to play with them... It is just sad because so many of my friends are staying away from this IB because it's Rift... I know there are people who like Rift and play it all the time and that's great... But such a specific game type should never be IB... So give Muir options if you are going to experiment in the future please...

I'm just going to throw this out there, as no one has been mentioning this. Iron Banner Mayhem Clash. *mic drop* [spoiler]No, I'm not serious. That's just the only PvP mode I can enjoy for more than one round.[/spoiler]

The only thing rift needs is for the rifts to spawn in random locations when the spark does, so it won't be each teams had a rift to protect it would be each team trying to attack and defend the same rift in a random location

1 ReplyI ve tried it..hated it. I will be playing other games til ib is over . Teams have fun wrecking randoms! Enjoy this unbalanced Ib. Thanks Bungie always making the majority of base players feel a huge disappointment time and time again.

The games take way to long. It was great when it was clash. People just went out and killed the other team, aka playing the objective. Then what happens, they go back to control for the last banner, and everyone goes back to playing it like clash. That and you kind of suck at pvp, which means that you don't play it a lot, so your request is just stupid because you don't really know what you're talking about.

2 RepliesRift is a terrible game mode for iron banner. IB has always been about a bit of teamwork but was mainly based on gun skill, specially in regards to getting points. I played a bunch of matches yesterday and any game I truer to focus on getting kills to support a runner (when kills were even able to be made) I would always be at the bottom of the score sheet. Then I would play a game focusing on trying to get the spark and maybe get 2-5 kills in the whole match and I would be at the top of the lost just because o had the spark. This is insane! How does this point accumulation to someone getting no kills so badly favor someone carrying the spark? The game mode may be an ok mode for regular pvp but in a competitive game type like IB it's goes completely against what IB is supposed to be! On a personal note I have been counting the day till this weeks IB and now I probably won't play much of the game, week ruined, I'll get enough lvl to get the gear I want and then I'm done. Really disappointing!!!

3 RepliesYup. 6 matches in and I'm about done for the week. This is by far the absolute worst thing I have ever played. It's either teams of 6 or cheating laggers. I usually play all week, hundreds of matches, all 3 characters to lvl 5 and way beyond. But there is no possible way I can deal with this crap for a week. I'm really having to fight just to stay in matches. I hate this.

1 ReplyPeople complain because of lack of content or variation. Bungie gives us something new and people complain. I'm loving the new take. Get in with a fireteam of 4 or more and you will start winning. Rift requires teamwork. I love it, much more team based strategy and communication involved. And dont say you cant find a fireteam, because there are multiple ways to do that. Add me if need be, I have a fireteam together every night and we win.

1 ReplyRift = Spawn Camping Because the mechanics of the Rift never flips the spawn, one team can easily take control of the middle of the map and push into the enemy area and kill people as they spawn. Not to mention since most heavy ammo spawns are in the middle of the maps, they get both drops. That makes the game to lopsided. An easy fix would be to reset the spawn after the rift is ignited.

Hey bungie since you are good at making just terrible game modes. I have the greatest one yet I hope next iron banner is sparrow racing iron banner!!!! And it drops 180 guns and armor so I can play all week just to rank down just like everything else in this game lol this game has turned into a joke it will be dead this weekend with DIVISION:)

I'm loving rift, good game mode. 3v3v3v3 salvage or skirmish next time. Would be epic. Or 2v2v2v2v2v2 doubles. Go mental, mix it up. 12 player mayhem rumble with heavy drops every 30 seconds that fill up reserves to the top.

No thanks, and Bungie keeps dropping the ball. Looks like I will play the beta of a real game that is coming out soon.

Control sucks. IB Clash or better yet IB Mayhem Clash. Either way clash was the best IB game mode. Control just sucks.
