Finished Hard mode Oryx, and for my 20 shards, and completion... what do I get?
Gauntlets of 311 (already have 314), and the NORMAL MODE F'ing Auto rifle at 303, and NORMAL MODE F'ing sniper at 304.
Yeah, GREAT FRIGGIN REWARDS FOR YOUR GAME on HARD MODE (not to mention GOT CRAP shards the whole way through before Oryx, and Normal mode drops). This is the kinda stuff that makes people wanna quit you know. You said it yourself Luke, "We wanna make the game feel more rewarding."
Well you tell me then, if this crap happened to you, would that feel rewarding? SMH, so frustrated right now.

EDIT: Update, on why this raid reward system is so broken. Previous raids RNG was 1 element (you either got what you were looking for or you didn't), gear was one level, perks were same. Current raid, gear RNG has 3 elements, You have to get the item you are missing, you have to hope it has the light to level you up (smart loot? HAHA), and you have to hope it has perks that help you.
3 Elements of RNG are what makes this the WORST rewarding system of any Destiny Raid. #Bungie fix your crap
For those who think running normal mode first is the answer, see below, sigh
[spoiler]there are 2 loot tables One for Normal mode, and one for Hard mode.
normal mode loot table consists of: shards or 300 - 310 loot gear/weapons.
Hard mode loot table consists of: 310 - 320 gear/weapons or nothing
Getting Normal mode done first does not change any percentage of the loot table that RNG factors for your loot. They are two totally separate entities.
So, if you run normal mode first, the loot table for normal mode drops in HM doesn't even roll... it doesn't exist.
So, if you did normal mode first, then run HM, the RNG roll for the TOTALLY SEPERATE HM ROLL could come up as 0 (or nothing)... meaning you get nothing.
If you don't run normal mode and run HM only. The Normal mode loot table rolls, and it could be = Shards... then the HM loot table rolls, and it could be nothing. So if you run NM first, you could potentially get NOTHING from HM, AT ALL until Oryx (because Oryx is the ONLY guaranteed HM item drop). If you run HM only, you could get shards the whole way through until Oryx. (in both cases RNG trolled you badly, which is happening to many people)
In other words... the only thing you get out of running normal mode first, is wasting your time to run both at separate times. Hope this clears it up for you.[/spoiler]

Look what got us here. Ppl shouting 'I've maxed out, there's nothing to do now'. So to all the show off shouters, and I say show off because at least half the posts were actually ppl trying brag that they were max lvl, thank you, dumb###ks. I was max lvl shortly after each DLC like a lot of people. Never stopped me wanting to play.

I wish I could disagree, but I can't. Same things happen to me far too often. If you don't do normal mode first, then there's a good chance you'll get stuck with moldering shards all along the way.

5 RepliesI have 2 hunters(about to make a 3rd as im sick of the grind for 3 toons) and in the last 3 weeks have gone up 1 LL. Was at 314 first week of hard mode and just got 310+ primaries from oryx to get me to 315. Rng has not beem kind to me. I just need better boots(harrowed ones were at 310 fml)

6 RepliesI've ben playing games like this for a long time. This is, without a doubt, the worst loot system I have ever seen. Filthy casuals I hear you super nerds talking about. Yeah sorry I don't live in my mother's basement. I have a life, a relationship. Maybe you should try the same. You'd see that there is more to life than 13 hour days on Destiny. If you give me an opportunity for 320 ll I want it. If you think I'll spend every waking moment of my life trying to get there think again. Giving 302 and 304 drops in hm raid is disgusting. There should be guaranteed drops on every boss and at a minimum of 320. Hell, 310 should be the minimum drop in regular raid. If I can't be max light level long before another dlc comes out, then I'm out. Oh and DeeJ, you are a super scrub and a bungie puppet.

5 RepliesYou obviously missed the memo. If you compete hard mode without already completing normal mode that week, you will also get normal mode drops ON TOP OF your hard mode drops.

You know man... My work schedule has kept me from raiding a lot lately. My main maxes out at 308. And I have devoted all my spare time over the last 2 weeks to beating Oryx. And I still havent. I've had good teams, I've had shitty teams, and I can't beat him. Want to hear something crazy? I haven't had a heavy weapon drop from EITHER hard or normal mode. And it's crippling. Oh, woah is me, my Oryx drops weren't what I wanted. Shut up. So many of us would kill to even get that frikin emblem, let alone your drops.

Recieved my 10 heavy machine gun , all around 300 , All characters already all over 314, But still get so so bad drops and mostly always the exact same things but with lower light level , Did finally get my raid helmets this week after running every week since release on both modes Sadly loosing interest in it . I hope there is a twist that will give us all a whole new direction to the playing field . A lost day 1 Guardian

12 RepliesI love Bungie's RNG system. I am completely content with not getting better gear each time I do the raid, its fine I know I will get it eventually. The randomness adds to the fun. I can handle rolling the dice, which is exactly what you do when you do the raid. YOU ROLL THOSE BEAUTIFUL RNG DICE. Just like gambling, you dont always win, but it's important to have fun even when you lose.
