Finished Hard mode Oryx, and for my 20 shards, and completion... what do I get?
Gauntlets of 311 (already have 314), and the NORMAL MODE F'ing Auto rifle at 303, and NORMAL MODE F'ing sniper at 304.
Yeah, GREAT FRIGGIN REWARDS FOR YOUR GAME on HARD MODE (not to mention GOT CRAP shards the whole way through before Oryx, and Normal mode drops). This is the kinda stuff that makes people wanna quit you know. You said it yourself Luke, "We wanna make the game feel more rewarding."
Well you tell me then, if this crap happened to you, would that feel rewarding? SMH, so frustrated right now.
#FIX YOUR CRAP BUNGIE
EDIT: Update, on why this raid reward system is so broken. Previous raids RNG was 1 element (you either got what you were looking for or you didn't), gear was one level, perks were same. Current raid, gear RNG has 3 elements, You have to get the item you are missing, you have to hope it has the light to level you up (smart loot? HAHA), and you have to hope it has perks that help you.
3 Elements of RNG are what makes this the WORST rewarding system of any Destiny Raid. #Bungie fix your crap
For those who think running normal mode first is the answer, see below, sigh
there are 2 loot tables One for Normal mode, and one for Hard mode.
normal mode loot table consists of: shards or 300 - 310 loot gear/weapons.
Hard mode loot table consists of: 310 - 320 gear/weapons or nothing
Getting Normal mode done first does not change any percentage of the loot table that RNG factors for your loot. They are two totally separate entities.
So, if you run normal mode first, the loot table for normal mode drops in HM doesn't even roll... it doesn't exist.
So, if you did normal mode first, then run HM, the RNG roll for the TOTALLY SEPERATE HM ROLL could come up as 0 (or nothing)... meaning you get nothing.
If you don't run normal mode and run HM only. The Normal mode loot table rolls, and it could be = Shards... then the HM loot table rolls, and it could be nothing. So if you run NM first, you could potentially get NOTHING from HM, AT ALL until Oryx (because Oryx is the ONLY guaranteed HM item drop). If you run HM only, you could get shards the whole way through until Oryx. (in both cases RNG trolled you badly, which is happening to many people)
In other words... the only thing you get out of running normal mode first, is wasting your time to run both at separate times. Hope this clears it up for you.
2 RepliesIgnore the people talking down dude, i ran the raid on hard this week and literally got a 311 shotgun as the only hard loot. 50% of bosses drop nothing but shards that are useless. This raid is a joke. Just start enjoying the flood of new games bro, destiny is becoming a tuesday for 2 raids only game for me. Rest of the time eff bungie.

how do u get the Queenbreakers bow

1 ReplyThe thing about legendaries now is that they drop at any attack power in their range. Vault of Glass? The original Legendary weapons ALWAYS dropped at 248 attack power. They were in a fixed spot. Crotas End? Those legendaries always dropped at a certain attack power too. (I believe it's somewhere around 300.) Kings Fall? Due to the new "Infusion," The weapons have attack range so that when they drop, the weapons will have an attack power from their minimum to maximum attack power. The difference between why the new RNG system for raids is so hated is because not only do you have to get the item you need to drop, It has to be at a larger attack power than the weapon you currently have. To fix this, I recommend the exact same thing they did with the rare weapons. Every time you grab a raid armour piece, it's stronger than the current piece you wear. However, it should not be a lot stronger, since that would make it just too easy. It was always a pain to be disappointed when a certain piece you want doesn't drop, but now it's even MORE disappointing when you get that piece and it's weaker than the one you wear. Then again, Infusion does solve that... -The guy with no house.

Edited by Tintreg: 11/8/2015 12:08:56 AMThis is why I don't really bother with this game anymore. It's like crack, highly addictive but no good for you. The longer your on it the worse you become. So glad I enjoy Halo, it's multiplayer has saved me from my Destiny addiction. Still fun to come on here and read through all the lovely heartwarming posts tho.

1 ReplyIt's RNG don't get soo salty, just keep running it every week to eventually reach max level. It was the same in every other raid, the only difference now is the also RNG'd light level but it's honestly not something that requires 30 new posts a day. I had 2 29s and a 28 before the dark below dropped. And didn't complete the VOG sets until after all 3 characters were 32. I think the biggest problem is that when HoW dropped you could start a fresh account and be 34 by the next reset. Now everyone is spoiled and wants everything right away. I play more just to talk to friends, we just happen to do raids and get drops while shooting the shit.

Ok man make a comment but do go all ballistic I mean if I did what you did and got crap I would upset, but you don't need to swear and tell Bungie their game is broken cause its not.
-
Get -blam!-ing rekt by RNG m8
-
You could get 2 shards. I consider your drop as a good drop.
-
Bungies drop system is the worst especially with three of coins. The only weapons I have gotten are the telesto and hereafter. And I've gotten three of both.
-
2 RepliesBungie needs to scrap RNG. Obviously the community hates it.
-
You do realize that moldering shards are only supposed to give you normal raid loot or else it would just be cheap (hence why u got normal raid stuff)
-
You must not remember forever29
-
I agree with this guy Like with RNG it's fine for the majority of things but not for raids For raids you should get a good drop, and that especially goes with hardmode
-
3 RepliesI got 313 sniper (307 previous) 320 bond (303 previous) and 317 boots (306 previous) THANKS BUNGIE AWESOME REWARDS :D
-
This the past two weeks on all characters, I now cant be arsed to do the raid, its waste of time.
-
22 Replies...because nobody ever had to run VoG Hard 15 times before getting the Vex Mythoclast...
-
-
That quote you have is wrong because if you do daughters on normal you do not get poop for hard.. I think?
-
R u new cuz we both know its rng right?
-
That means you got your garunteed hard raid drop, you didn't get the chance of the hard raid drop, you get your chance at a normal drop, and your second chance from moldering shards was given to you. This is one of the better drops.
-
If you continue to play this game, that will keep happening. Leave and move on to a game that is actually good. This game is shit, it has always been shit, and will forever be shit.
-
It's funny how a few people are saying forever 29, however if you think about it it's nearly impossible to get to 320 light level. The RNG is so random that your chances are rather slim. Plus at the moment the only way to get a 310+ artifact is by hopefully getting a drop in the gold tier bounty on trials of osiris.
-
2 RepliesDiscussion starter: what would be the point of getting exactly what you wanted when you ran it? Someone mentioned bosses should drop garunteed loot, what would that be based on and implemented how? I would personally rather run it with rng. Its a bitch sometimes but doesnt that give you a reason to play? I remember feeling kinda lost for a bit after finally getting ghorn. Last in my clan to get it, beta player. Got it two weeks before it was sold but the hope of "will i finally get it tonight" was a good ride.
-
I find it that if you haven't done the normal raid with that character, when you do the hard mode you get normal droppings as well. Make sure when you run hard mode to have done it normal with that character.
-
5 RepliesTook me 2 months on a 3x run Normal mode Crota just to get the black Hammer . WTF happened to u guys . This is what Destiny is about ..... DESTINY through RNG .
-
1 ReplyDude, it's smart (ass) loot system 2.0
