Weapons parts nerf is the meanest thing.
Anyone else feel this way?
Probably the cruelest nerf Bungie could have given us. The concept that there might be a few players with enough to get many ranks of rep is not a good justification to make the game even more frustrating, not to mention the already lacking percentage of weapon engrams.

2 RepliesWhat are you guys doing to burn through so many weapon parts so frequently? Do you just upgrade every weapon you find? Just buy uncommons from vendors, take all the armsday orders you can carry and you'll be fine

1 ReplyI have actually resorted to maxxing glimmer then buying 10 year one exotics to break down for parts. Glimmer is the easiest thing to come by now, between vault and character(s) I have about 75,000 glimmer.

5 RepliesI accidentally dismantled 187 weapon parts last night when i was using motes to level up my guns. They should put locks on generals too .. But u can still use it to upgrade without unlocking it .. Bump this if you want locks on generals.

I know, right? I ended up spending my Year's worth of nearly 1000 weapon parts rerolling weapons in HoW. Now, I'm at a deficit, and I can't seem to get out of it.

Yep, I feel the nerf is unwarranted, seeing as Bungie have said players either have loads or bugger all and they want to balance things out. How is nerfing them balancing unless they want those with lots to run them dry and then everyone have -blam!- all.....wait this is Bungie, of course they want us all to have bugger all so that we keep playing over and over and over and over....*fades out*

More so to the idiot that said I was playing this game wrong after 1500+ hours. This is what I got for weapon parts across three characters, now keep in mind you may get 0,1,2,3,4 and or 5 per break down and this is only weapon parts. patrol on dreadnaught = 17 parts CoO (3 stolen runes/ 7 reciprocal runes) = 9 parts 2 nightfalls = 6 parts Leveled up with the cryptard and vanguard = 7 parts Broke down 3 exotics = 15 parts Turned in 32 bounties = 11 parts So roughly between 5-7 hours of play I received approximately 65 parts across 3 characters.

Agreed. I'm literally almost out of weapons parts now and it's so hard to accumulate them after the patch. They're just trying to slow us and the destiny economy down so we are forced to play more countless hours to achieve nothing great.

Agreed, lots of weapons waiting for part so i can unlock the nodes now.

I still have a massive stockpile of the things. I don't see why everyone has such a problem with them. Same for motes and coins.

3 RepliesHere's the thing...in HoW I literally had 0 left due to re-rolling. I've now over 700, even with all the new gear and still get a decent amount from braking down weapons. What the heck is everyone doing that they [i]wouldn't[/i] have any weapon parts??

3 RepliesEdited by Lull9: 10/22/2015 3:17:14 AMI play quite a bit in a normal way (not specifically grinding for weapon parts, not doing a ton of rerolls either) I NEVER had enough that I was spending them to level up factions and certainly not enough to level them up a HUGE amount even if I did spend them. Where did this come from? ALSO, who cares? I get so many legendary engrams and blue engrams that turn into legendaries that getting extra legendary rewards (through rapid faction leveling) is fairly meaningless.
