Not only do they basically have fist of havoc, they have crazy range with their super, grenade and melee. They also have passive perks that hammer does not have. Hammer only has active perks that benefit the super. Don't get me wrong, Stormtrance needs to be powerful because it's a super. Literally the only thing wrong with hammer is that you cannot kill it with one golden gun. However, you have 2 more shots with golden gun, just shoot him/her again? You do have to play smart when you're against the hammer but isn't that awesome? You have to actually use skill to take them down and I love it. No hate on any super though, they all have their benefits

2 RepliesI want you to find a video of a Stormcaller vs a Sunbreaker. Warlocks will sit there for 5 seconds trying to bring just the shields down, all the Titan has to do is turn around and 1 shot us at full health, then they gain all their health back. I don't think OP is the right term. UP might be.

3 RepliesI think it's mostly balanced. They shouldn't be able to chase me down from super long distances though. I heard one pop his super around the corner so I started running and he somehow caught up to me while I was already Wayyy ahead of him.

Pipe down whiner. Everyone thinks everything is OP. It's a super it's supposed to be powerful. "I just got killed by a autorifle!! NERF" killed by a super NERF! All classes have their strengths and weaknesses. Bungie didn't sit there a make one class to completely dominate in every aspect super or subclass overall. Sunbreaker a have their hammers rest of the subclass is garbage.

Every super is OP in the right hands.

Yeah i think it is a bit strong right now. When i use stormtrance, i average a triple kill. Mind you i said a triple kill not 3 kills, difference being i melt 2 guys at once and the 3rd has no chance. With ionic blink and transendence it is easy enough to get 5 kills, and if you know how to blink well can avoid hammers, anchors, pretty much any other super. Im not gonna say OP but certainly a bit strong. Ps. For countering stormcallers, my advice would be get good at sticky grenades, or use rockets. If you run away you are just making it easier for me to go on killing your team as you run towards them

I don't think the way to fix a storm caller is to buff bladedancer or night stalker either making bladedancer last longer or making night stalker super recharge faster or have instant suppression.

A sniper headshot from anything with less impact than Efirdeets doesn't OHK. A shotgun melee dents them. GG doesn't kill. Stormtrance takes 4 ticks of lightning to kill them. Stormtrance is a sitting duck. & there's nothing to help them regenerate their health while in super either. Landfall a FoH...? That's also a ridiculous assumption. People need to get that out of their heads. For landfall to get a kill, your feet [i]literally[/i] have to basically be over their enemies head. It does NOT have the AoE of FoH. Not even [i]close[/i]. If you use stormtrance you'll see what I mean. It's [i]very[/i] hard to stay alive during stormtrance if there's a lot of enemies around. & also the initial range of the attack is pretty small. With superconductor, the chaining capabilities are pretty far, but for that to work someone needs to be within the initial range of the attack. Which is inside of about 7 feet I'd say. They've no mobility besides ionic blink, which sucks, & takes up super energy with use use...& then on top of that, you can't use the other two perks if you're using it. Stormcaller subclass as a whole is really good. It's got an awesome neutral game. It's super is also extremely effective if used properly, but if you're facing off against a few enemies at once, or anybody who's good, you'll get picked off quickly because you're such an easy target with no mobility. Stormtrance is suuuuch a slow super...it's rather frustrating honestly. So what I'm getting at, is that there's a lot of counters when it comes to stormtrance. There's none when it comes to Hammer of Sol. Actually, one hammer kills a stormtrance unless they've maxed armor...& stormtrance takes 4 ticks of lightning to kill a Hammer of Sol... Hammer of Sol is the best of Radiance, Golden Gun, & Bladedancer all stuffed into one super. & idk why people say that Sunbreaker has a shitty neutral game either. Their melee's have short range, but are still great. & a sunbreakers nades are fantastic. The hunter & warlock solar nades they got are extremely good. Idk abt the thermite. I personally don't like Voidwall so I doubt I'd like thermite. But Incendiary nades are HELLA good if you can learn how to control their bounce. so good... A Sunbreaker perked out for intellect + discipline is a monster. I think they either need less hammers, or less armor. One or the other. Either severely reduced armor, or 4 hammers max. I stand by that. Also, to anyone who actually might've read this wall of text, I'm not looking for an argument. These are just my personal views on the subclasses. There's some facts thrown in the mix, but obviously the overall post is an opinion... I didn't post for controversy or debate. Just stating my thoughts in the subject, as that's what the forums are meant for.

Ha. Landfall is insanely difficult to hit with compared to Fist of Panic. As for the super as a whole, it's good, not great.

2 RepliesStorm trance is super squishy,you have to run blink in crucible witch destroy your super duration,out in the open it's uber bad and if you're not careful around corner 1 single guy will shotgun you down.Its a good special no doubt but bladedancer is better and no were near sunbreaker OP level.
