"Looking for people for King's fall raid. Must have experience, must be 307 light, must be this, must have that, must be awesome because i am too much of a retard to help someone learn the raid."
The raid has been out for a few days and already seeing this shit? Its hilarious! How do you think people supposed to get experience in the raid? Seriously, just give people a chance, especially in week one of the new raid hahaha.
What ever happened to the fun of experiecing a raid blindly? Lol. Everyone is all about the quick rewards instead of enjoying the game.
Im not personally having trouble finding teams for raids, i just think these posts are hilarious and pathetic.
Thanks for all the replies, im glad to see there are gamers like you guys who also find the recruiting hilarious! Keep that attitude and enjoy the raid on your own terms :)
Holy crap almost 1000 replies, glad to see a lot of people share my opinion lol. I will be raiding this weekend so maybe ill see some of you there! If not, i wish the rest of you the best of luck in finding fun raid partners!
You guys are awesome, i love the feedback. Im on PS4 by the way so if anyone ever wants to raid without meeting all these bullshit requirements feel free to add me. My only requirement is that you have patience and the will to learn! Lol

I cry myself to sleep.

Most be oryx himself. No scrubs allowed in my team. Also Must have opened the ark of the covenant, found Atlantis, and be able to recite every country in the world backwards. Sounds about right...
-
I can bring in-experienced Raiders all the way through golgoroth but I don't have the endurance to teach them sisters and oryx if they don't get the mechanics by the 7th wipe
-
2 Repliesidk, man. i don't really see a huge problem with people wanting their team to have some degree of experience. the raid has been out for a week now. there's very little reason for someone to not have any experience at all at this point. at least up to golgoroth
-
3 RepliesNever played the raid since my max light is only 291, so whats the "minimum" requirements for the raid with no damage fall off anayway?
-
Yep, how dare people have whatever requirements they want in groups they have to make. Good thing you can make your own team.
take the -blam!-ing hint
Edited by McKrinklesac: 9/24/2015 8:16:36 AMI agree with you , a lot of great players probably haven't raided . Flat out stupid
-
Anybody looking to help a fellow guardian? Psn
-
Not everyone plays the game like you. There are enough people who play the game like you that you can find with a little effort. Stop complaining about others and focus on building a kickass team, you'll enjoy life more.

11 RepliesWe have a weird LFG institution. It wasn't even day 2 and people were looking for people with "experience" ~TheGreatNike

2 RepliesLol me and my team took two people through raid just a couple mins ago we didn't whipe on any of the bosses we were really impressed.
-
My only recommendation is to have 290 light level if you do that's fine and patience.
-
My problem isn't finding a group, it's keeping them together. Last raid group I was in tore through the war priest and golgoroth with ease. Then we got to the sisters, two guys left before the fight, easly replaced. A few wipes later and I've got five different guys in there who don't know what they're doing.

5 RepliesMust have black spindle and 300 plus light!
have not seen this but I anticipate seeing black spindle as a requirement soon
-
Edited by Kovathos: 9/26/2015 5:49:44 AMMy only real issue is those that apparently need more than 290 light You really don't. So long as you have enough light the enemies won't kill you in 2 shots and you won't kill them in 50. Don't get me wrong, it's ridiculous to see so many groups asking for experienced people in the first week.

1 Replyoh the good old days of VoG before Destiny was all cancer. when youd spend hours, trying to defeat the Templar, in hopes of the Fatebringer, and then Atheon came along and u shit urself cause u guys had no idea what to do, but hell, it was fun af, so u kept playing. now all it is, "if u havent done it yet, u cant join"...bruh its the first week of the new raid, these the type of ppl to grind out all the gear and weapons in the first month, then complain they have nothing to do. smh.

12 RepliesI don't understand why so many people want to rush these things. Shouldn't the joy be in the experience? I remember doing skolas for the first time. Took us 7 hours. 7 goddamn hours. And I loved every minute of it. I loved talking with my group, forming new strategies, and new ideas. I loved the steady sense of progression as we got closer and closer to the kill with each run. I loved learning the ins and outs, knowing that I could use it later to help people who hadn't done it before, people who would hopefully have as much fun as I had. Raids are like skolas on steroids when they release. They take a long time to run initially. The sense of satisfaction I get when I see my group working together flawlessly is beyond words. It creates positivity, and good conversation. When we screw up, it does down, and the constructive mental progression begins. Patterns form. Succession is earned gradually. It's a learning experience—and a damn fun one. But, sadly, many people just want to rush rewards. They want to cheese, instead of earning. They want it all, and they want it now, like children who want candy before dinner, or who try to open presents before Christmas, or who want an allowance without working. It's lazy. It's not the experience that I believe bungie intended for their game. I'm all for rewards, but in the end, there is no substitute for hard work. Look at it this way: rewards help create experiences. Ergo, you enjoy your experience. You want a good experience. But to get rewards, you have to perform a task. In itself, this task is also an experience. Why don't you enjoy that experience? Is a measly item in a fictional universe really more enjoyable than the memories you create while earning the reward? Is the sense of satisfaction and elation you experience accomplishing a difficult task really not as enjoyable of an experience as grinding away using a weapon or armor piece you'll get sick of in a month or two, if that? Yes. Rewards are great, but in the end, it's not the gear we remember—it's the experience that leads up to the gear that makes our troubles worthwhile. It's that sense of pride and accomplishment as you teabag the s h i t out of skolas, laughing and sighing with relief with the people who shared the experience with you. So, you people go ahead and look for 307 experienced raid masters. You go ahead and nitpick and eliminate any and all signs of trouble or insecurity that you can think of—and when you run the raid with no problems, no struggle of any kind, ask yourself: Was any of it really worth your precious time? Are you gonna wake up months from now and think "Wow, I remember raid run #4 where nothing bad happened at all, just like raid run #5, #6, #7...etc"? Most likely not. Top it off with a piece of gear that you could care less about, and that will probably be replaced, and you'll learn that the precious time you tried to save was all just a huge waste after all. TLDR: Go run the raid with some newbies. Struggle, have fun. Learn. Teach. Make some new buddies. Share in the experience, because in the end, it's the experience leading up to the rewards that counts, not the rewards themselves. Those are merely extras, something to show for what you did— And I promise, you will not remember them.

Yep my only requirement is be at least 290 light only because oryx is 300

Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Idiots on bungie.net. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Strived. From what I can gather, he commands the whiners from an illogical group of scrubs just outside of the forums. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Destiny forums.

1 ReplyMust be 8 pound 6 ounce Baby Jesus to join

1 ReplySaw a post on LFG a few days ago "Must have emblem to prove you beat it" ...-blam!-ing seriously?
-
7 RepliesFirst week I played for hours with friends/lfg people and couldn't beat oryx. This week after 10+ hours split up throughout the week with people who knew the mechanics or didn't and I wasn't able to get it done. Went on asking for a group who knows what they're doing (didn't care about light level/guns, just got tired of explaining). Beat it third try and it felt great. And after that? I joined my buddies group of 5 new players, taught them how to do the raid and helped them through it which was awesome. Yes I did ask for a group but I feel like helping give back and teach was a better feeling!
