What was the point of Year 1?
Today, whilst playing The Taken King, which is a very, very good D.L.C. I was thinking what was the point of year 1? I mean, all the work that we have done in the past year means nothing. Here is a list of things that we have done that means absolutely nothing.

Now is year 2, cod has a new game coming out, battlefield had a new game, madden 16 was released, and instead of releasing a new game destiny gives you ttk as a dlc, so you don't have to buy a new one. Stop bitching

This is #satire right? What did you think the point was in year1, before The Taken King? Do you hear advertising for an upcoming grand final and think, "Well what was the point of last year's grand final?" If someone asked me, "Why do you play video games, what's the point?" I would be confused. What do you mean 'point'? There is no point. I do it because it's fun. The 'point' you seem to be missing is; ENTERTAINMENT AND ENJOYMENT! That is what video games are for. That is what games in general are for, and even sports. I often think that people seem to forget that these days. Which is strange, if you look up 'game' in a dictionary, it says "an activity providing entertainment and amusement". If this wasn't #satire, I hope I was helpful.

If you really want to be a Debby downer than think of this What was the point of playing any game? Remember when cod was fun? After modern warfare 2 you bought black ops so what was the point of mw2? What was the point of bo when the next game came out? What was the point of playing super Mario bros. 3? Crash bandicoot? Spyro? Fallout 3? Etc. The same answer to those games apply to year one It was fun, it is a game and they get outdated and replace so just have fun with it Geez

It was a fun Beta. Honestly it was one heck of a ride with all the changes since the game launched.

It was a Beta that Activision was able to charge $90 for.

So ttk just overwrote every single hour you spent in the game over year. 1. It completely ripped all the fond memories from your brain. I did not know bungie had this power. I got a few moments from high school that i would like them to take.

I think Bungie is on the right track in terms of game mechanics. There were big improvements to the Light system, the Cryptarch gave you an exotic that you didn't have, and auto rifles have the range and the stability of a SMG. Also Focused Fire is broken.
