(Pic Unrelated)
So recently I've been trying to decide on a career. Yes I already have a job, but there is a pretty big difference between having a job and having a career.
I am currently trying to decide which of these I would rather do. And yes I know that if I choose any military options that I need to discuss it with my parents first. I have already talked with them about my interest in becoming a cop and they are all for it. The only problem there is the age requirement is 21. (I'm currently 20, my birthday is in July) my brother is in the National Gaurd but he doesn't really talk about it all that much. At least not to me. He moved out a while ago though so that kinda happens. He joined when he was 18. He is currently 22. I know after he finishes out his current contract he was going to leave though.
Any information, advice, and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This poll will most likely have a very minor influence on my decision, depending on how seriously it is taken
Thanks in advance.

Cop then work up to Detective. Sit your current job out until you can apply but tell them of your plan. Most employers would support your move into the Police or Armed forces. It's a matter of patriotism and honour for them. Otherwise, if still in doubt go see a Career Specialist - they work out from your skills, attitude etc your best career option.

If you really know you want to be a cop I would say join the military first for MP, do the four years and then into a civilian department. You will have more options if you have that MP experience. (Local, state, or federal law enforcement)

If you need to have a game forum choose your career you need to see a board certified therapist!

Join the Marines.

(You spelled Guard wrong) but beside that you dont need parental consent to join any military branch, you can be 17 with consent or 18 without consent, but either way i say go Police officer thats what my brother is going after and there is great benefits like retiring early and more .
