Deej, in today's Update...
Would you mind going into details about the fate of The Last Words magazine size for the 2.0 patch?
There are tons of threads on this forum and Reddit with all of us speculating.
I suspect (and hope) that you are leaving the mag size at 8 since you specifically called out TLW, Thorn, and Hawkmoon but only mentioned anything regarding magazine size with Hawkmoon my guess is that the magazine size for TLW and Thorn will stay unchanged.
Us PVE players are really hoping for those 8 Rounds...
Can you confirm?

1 ReplyI'm going to give what I think. Firstly, no one uses Last Word for PVE. If you're using it, I really don't know what to say to you. It is a PVP gun. Secondly, regarding the magazine size, it's either going to 5 or 6. There was a clip of the first TTK mission being shown while IGN did a interview with DeeJ and the magazine of Fatebringer was 10. That means either it had Field Scout on and got reduced by 3, or it had Single Point Sling and magazine got reduced by 2. That being said, Thorn will be hit pretty bad either way. Finally, just stop using Last Word in PVE. Get a Fatebringer or any Legendary handcannon and it will be better.

Making it a 6 shooter would make sense actually, going with the whole theme of the gun.

I use the TLW in PVE because it's fun. I know better PVE hand cannons exist and I have them (fatebringer, hawkmoon, etc)...but it is fun to use.

If that gun has less than 8 rounds...."we need to get 3 coffins ready." Here is my guess: six shots per magazine and 2 shots to the body per kill with hip fire. 3 coffins right there. TheLastAOG has spoken.

3 RepliesAnd if Tlw doesn't get nerfed, but thorn does, it'll be the sole king of PvP. And for Tlw, PVP balance is much more important than PvE balance. As it's almost never used in Pve. Sorry if you use it there but it's for the good of the Destiny as a whole.

No the rounds wont stay the same. The update for hand cannons is reducing base mags.

1 ReplyIf we keep 8 rounds, we can't keep perfect balance. It's a gun that kills faster than even a maxed rof Thunderlord. It needs to have an actual tradeoff, and range is hardly noticeable. Six rounds will still be fine.

I suspect it gets nerfed to 6 rounds as it is a HC. I believe the reason the mentioned the ammo for the hawkmoon is to tell players it won't be effected by the mag nerf which would be a buff instead remains the same. With the same logic I also believe the buff to hip fire for TLW is actually just a counter to the nerf for HC so its remaining the same. I could be wrong this is just what I think though.

2 RepliesI'll be happy when they nerf exotic hand cannons in PvP. I don't find it particularly fair going toe to toe with TLW and dying in a couple milliseconds.

2 RepliesPrimaries singular purpose in PvE is to be small add clearing weapons that can handle groups effectively. The last word is so far from that it's funny. It's an awful primary for PvE and wastes your exotic slot where you could be running Ice breaker, Invective, Thunderlord, or Gjallarhorn. Bad choice. Get something like a fatebringer for PvE
