$20 for 3 Emotes, Shaders, and Class items
Someone please tell me I read the weekly update incorrectly. Please tell me that Activision/ Bungie are not charging an additional $20 just for 3 emotes, 3 shaders, and 3 class items.
That's insane.
Did I read it wrong?
Edit: please feel free to disagree with me. Personally $20 is too much for cosmetic items in my opinion. Others will not share that opinion. That's okay. I was thinking it would equate to $5. But I guess I am just cheap.
Edit 2: there are some really angry people on this forum. Well, we can disagree. I stand by my opinion and the value of money compared to the lack of content/value for $20. I'm not going to bother reading any more. Have a good night and please don't spend too much time arguing.

2 RepliesInstead of paying 80$ for the Collectors Edition to get the content, when you already have the game and its first two expansions, your going to pay 20$ LESS for just The Taken King and the digital content for that Collectors Edition. Some people are fine with this, as it is an option. Some aren't because its just 20$ is expensive for said content and they are pretty much paying 20$ less then what they would have paid for the Collectors Edition itself. 5 or even 10 would have been the sweet spot, but it is what it is, and the option is there. wonder how much money I have to throw for the option of having an LFG or Codex at the Tower. Also did the update confirm being able to chat with other guardians at the tower (I'm joking mostly)?

20 dollars got me CE and HoW, so 3 dance moves shaders and whatever else are held at the same value of those DLCs? Think about it. If you're going to buy it, enjoy. But I'm going to sit on it.

So these 3 emotes, 3 shaders and 3 class items are worth the same price as The Dark Below expansion or The House of Wolves expansion.. Bungie is really digging into everyone's pockets

Let me show you some logic here Legendary Edition = $60 Collector's Edition = Legendary Edition + Cosmetic pack Collector's Edition = $80 80 - 60 = 20 $20 difference Only difference is cosmetic pack Cosmetic pack = $20 The More You Know

Wait i thought ttk also has raids and a bunch of new stuff? Nobody in their right mind would pay for cosmetic items, u wouldnt be special cause other people are buying it too. Im pretty sure those just come with ttk

As a 40+ year gamer and someone who really enjoys Destiny and respects the time that went into developing such a great game I was looking forward to what they would come up with after the somewhat marketing disaster (not TTK as it looks great so gratz devs)... but no... swat.. another slap and more money grab... $20 for 9 digital items... same price as a whole expansion :-O Doesn't matter how you try to spin the justification it is a money grab and many will still buy it if they want and they are naturally welcome to and should not be bereaved for it but then again, some people pay full MSRP for their new cars.... good luck and enjoy the free tube of KY

Do I have this right? Year 1 players can get the taken king for $40, but new players can get all the dlc and extra goodies for $60. Year 1 players complain and say they dont want to pay the $60 to get the extra goodies cause they already have the other DLC. Bungie says ok if $60 is a lot we will cut you a deal. Buy taken king for $40 and buy the extra goodies for $20.. which comes out to $60 also.

$5 to $10 Max and thats what drunk me would be willing to spend for sober me. Can I see these add-ons before i plonk down any cash? At this point all I am really hoping is that TTK will tide me over until Fallout 4. After that, who knows.
