$20 for 3 Emotes, Shaders, and Class items
Someone please tell me I read the weekly update incorrectly. Please tell me that Activision/ Bungie are not charging an additional $20 just for 3 emotes, 3 shaders, and 3 class items.
That's insane.
Did I read it wrong?
Edit: please feel free to disagree with me. Personally $20 is too much for cosmetic items in my opinion. Others will not share that opinion. That's okay. I was thinking it would equate to $5. But I guess I am just cheap.
Edit 2: there are some really angry people on this forum. Well, we can disagree. I stand by my opinion and the value of money compared to the lack of content/value for $20. I'm not going to bother reading any more. Have a good night and please don't spend too much time arguing.

1 ReplyIf you break it down, its about $2 for each item. Other games charge way more for stuff like this. Plus the "slow clap" emote will have way more replay value than the dark below..

I am happy this got addressed but still it is gonna cost $60 the full price of destiny for the "full taken king experience". I recommend that everyone that is gonna buy taken king to wait and see if the new dances, shaders, and class items are worth the extra $20.

I know I won't be getting the emotes. But that's OK, it's really THEIR loss. A $10 discount for older players would generate much profit IMO. But they're too foolish to do that. Superblack time!

3 RepliesWell guess ducking what, if you wanted to buy them before you'd have had to pay $40 (the other $40 in the bundle being TTK itself) and now you only need to pay $20. Please just stop bitching now. And instead of comparing it to other destiny content, compare it to other games. That $20 in 9 cosmetic items is amazing compared to most other games that will charge the same price for 1 item. If you don't want the cosmetics then don't ducking buy them and stop complaining about it. Just spend your $40 on the expansion.

It says suggested price, maybe they left it like that to see if people were happy with it. Now knowing that we are not, they will probably lower the price.

Lol they did exactly what I thought. They threw all of the stuff we were not getting together where so we can have them to appease us....it's a sad attempt. I knew they would throw something together last minute and basically have nothing special for us. He made it seem as though there was something special for us that they had not yet informed the community about. Real smooth Bungie....real smooth. Maybe they can start a microtransaction system next! Don't feel like grinding bounties? Pick up a dead orbit package from the postmaster for only $6USD! A shader is just a shader but a package could be [b]anything![/b] it could even be a shader! Low on glimmer? Just head over to the speaker he will be happy to sell you some, 1500 glimmer only $4USD! Remember guys, it's all about what provides value to you, the customer.

Ignore this saying people are being whiners. It's not even necessarily about the money it's the worth. People seem to forget that the last 2 dlcs were both 20 dollars. So the 9 items, half of which are cosmetic cost the same amount as full blown dlc? How does that make sense?

2 RepliesInstead of paying 80$ for the Collectors Edition to get the content, when you already have the game and its first two expansions, your going to pay 20$ LESS for just The Taken King and the digital content for that Collectors Edition. Some people are fine with this, as it is an option. Some aren't because its just 20$ is expensive for said content and they are pretty much paying 20$ less then what they would have paid for the Collectors Edition itself. 5 or even 10 would have been the sweet spot, but it is what it is, and the option is there. wonder how much money I have to throw for the option of having an LFG or Codex at the Tower. Also did the update confirm being able to chat with other guardians at the tower (I'm joking mostly)?
