Strategies for Trials of Osiris

So far I have been 9-0 every week on all of my characters and I have figured out a couple of things that can be done to give a guardian the most help. So far this is what I have come up with: -Work as a team :: This can only happen over time. You know that you are a good player when you can adapt to your teammates strategies. -Call out :: Making good call outs is essential for your teams success. Even if you are dead you can still make call outs that help out your team. For example, I was the last one alive and there were two other people alive on the other team. My teammates called out and said that both of the guys were on their bodies. This gave me an advantage because I could throw a grenade on them and clean up the kills quick. -Adapt to the other team :: Every team that you will ever play against will have a different strategy. They may end up changing how they play during the game to adapt to your teams playing style. If you can figure out if they are just using shotguns understand that they will be a bit more hesitant to jump out in the open. If you are in a heated battle with a shotgun user most of the time they will try to rush you if you get close. So what you can do is you can almost bait them. Let them see you get closer on their radar and once you think you are close enough jump back and get ready for the shotgunner to rush you. This happens almost every time. -Know your armor :: A key thing that you can do is understand what your character has as amour advantages. What I use is a Light Beyond Nemesis (helmet for fast revives), Osiris gauntlets (gauntlets to reload my hand cannon faster), Deathsinger chestpiece(for sniper ammo), any boots that give me more heavy ammo. Having quick revives on your team can be the difference if you get help on a 2 on 1 situation. The quick reload gives me a better chance to be prepared for the next enemy after I killed the first one. -Use your armor wisely :: One thing that I do is I switch my chest piece for voidfang so that I can spawn with grenade energy every round. This is extremely beneficial to get a quick push once you throw the grenades. I will switch this when we are getting ready for the next round but I will always switch back to my Light Beyond Nemesis helmet. -Select the guns carefully :: There is only one heavy round in Trials. The best thing you can do is you can switch to a more powerful exotic heavy weapon for this round. Every other round keep the primary that you are the most comfortable with. Weapons allow the player to choose the playing style that they want. Having a team with thorns can be useful for the burn damage over time. I have also seen the messenger two shot enemies. What you choose for a primary is really depending on how you play and how your team plays. The special weapon slot is also depending on what you are good with. I am 10x better with a sniper than with a shotgun. As a team you need to figure out a balance. Since I run with a sniper at least one of my teammates should run with a shotgun in order to give us the balance we need to accommodate to all situations. -Your subclass matters :: Whether you are a titan, hunter, or warlock, you need play a subclass that you are most comfortable with. I am not going to go into each subclass and tell you what set up is the best only because it depends on your play style. I run a warlock with self res. I find that I can res myself in situations that have one me rounds. I also go with a firebolt grenade that will cause damage over time. The important thing about this is to choose loadouts that you know you are good with. -What to look for each week :: Every week there will be a new map that is comepletely different from the last. Just because you did something last week doesn't mean it will work again. The first day of trials is difficult in the sense that you need to figure out where the best part of the map is to control. Once you find this out you can begin to look at common sniping lanes, corners, and camping spots. Bungie gives us heat maps of previous weeks which is a huge help to figure this out. Since we haven't been on any map twice yet we are still experiencing a lot of new strategies. -Team strategies :: One thing that has worked for me is to use a 2 and one strategy. This is where there are 2 people on your team that will always stick together while the third will go to the far left or far right of the team of 2. This is important so that you can watch out for the flanks. The player that is by himself/herself should be a good individual player. This player should be able to hold their own in a 1 on 1 fight. This player needs to be good at adapting and understanding when is a good time to push up from the side they are on. I would say that this player can be the turning point in whether you lose a match or win but this doesn't lessen the value of the other two teammates. The two teammates must work well in team shotting and playing smart. -Have fun :: If you aren't having fun then you need to take a break from Trials. Come back in a couple of hours and get some fresh air. These are just a few things that I have noticed that work for me. If you have anything to add please do. I am playing on making a video that shows all of the strategies in action. I am interested in what you guys are doing that has worked with you? Thanks for taking the time to read this and learn more about this awesome game. Gt: Kibaman101 (Xbox One) YouTube: Kibaman101
