Do you think he deserves what Bungie gave him?
Thoughts on the subject?
EDIT 1: You guys happy that someone got a FoAF for getting trolled, and you are actually going to have to earn yours?
EDIT 2: Many people are saying he doesn't have it, that is correct, because he said that he will get it in the postmaster at launch of the House of Wolves.

No he is a cheating little prick

1 ReplyWith the amount if ridiculous unnecessary attention that kids' situation received, its only natural that bungie felt obligated to do something. Sure the kid got a good gun. Cool, if it stop him from crying so be it. Would've been more unfair if he got everything back. And I love the irony of the gun they chose lol

I heard it on CNN news talking about it #staire

While I do feel bad for the kid getting trolled as bad as he did, he was trying to cheat which is how it happened. So he tries to cheat, get's trolled and loses his stuff, and now gets a rare exotic weapon because of it? I could see maybe getting his characters/gear back to where it was, but bungie has decided to reward someone who failed at cheating? How does that make any sense?

Maybe i should let some random grown man delete my account and preach it to the world. Maybe i will get it too. im not hating on the kid, i think the asshole who did it should be punished, be the kid pretty much intentionally broke rule #1 of online gaming, giving out access to your account to random people. Look at the facts.

7 RepliesI love it because the bad guys (People PRAYING ON CHILDREN) Don't win and the victim gets a shiny gun to rub it in all of your crybaby faces for picking on a CHILD.
-
U have proof?
-
2 RepliesI don't really care if the kid gets it, but it's Fücked for anyone who's actually had their account hacked and lost anything, or lost anything to a bug or glitch.

1 ReplyIs he gonna be on Ellen later this week? Maybe a little web redemption on Tosh.0 ?
-
I'm just waiting for a Bungie official to shut down the rumor. He doesn't have Fate of All Fools.
-
BUNGIEEE MY WIFE TOOK MY XBOX CONTROL CAN I JAVE FATE OF ALL FOOLS PLEASE I CRYING AND SHE LAUGHING AT ME
-
Who cares. It's going to be another nice scout. Nothing game breaking.

1 ReplyNo. That's the stupidest thing Bungie could do . They should only have one. And that one exotic should only be with that cancer patient. He deserves it, not this stupid 12 year old that was stupid enough to get corrupted. Plus he tried to cheat destiny and that is no way to get a INSANLY RARE EXOTIC PIECE..no way he deserves this gun.
-
1 ReplyFate of all Fools....seems fitting.

I'm fine with bungie giving him a special gun, he probably felt really bad after that happened to him so bungie bought some good will (with little to no expense on their part) with him and anyone who sees this as positive. As for the morality of the kids ethics, I could be wrong but it seems to me that the kid was tacking advantage of a broken system (I would call this broken) where could give control to another user via a tool that was released after the game, so I don't think he did anything wrong. Though the other guy certainly did, unless you think trying to make a child upset falls in the morally grey area

Prove he is getting it
-
If he gets one, my buddy and I will both make different accounts and re-create the same scenario. I better get one too.

1 ReplyJust because someone claims something online does not mean its true. God damn you kids are -blam!-ing dumb
