It'll be ok. Your precious Thorn will probably take 3 shots at sniper range instead of 2 to kill.

If you, with a sniper rifle, get hit twice by someone with a handgun, at "SNIPER RANGE" (--FEEL-- the sarcasm) the the problem is you suck rather than this or that weapon being too good.
