Xur is selling this weekend. I have Glass House but don't really use it much. Would really like Saint-14 but until I can obtain that one I was thinking of picking this one up. Looks beastly for Striker class and PvP. What are your thoughts?
Edit: Lots of good input. Thanks. Also, just an fyi since I see a lot of other suggestions, I already have Amamentarium, Glass House, Ruin Wings, and MK 44's. Was considering Skullfort for Striker and disco dancing but decided to pass on it for now. Really would like Saint 14 for defender use. Let's see if RNGesus or Xur will be kinder to me. Thanks everyone for all the info.

Way too situational for me. In 99% of the game, enemies you melee are either too strong or too weak to make the perk worth it. Helm of inmost light is much better for striker.
-
No I don't like it mainly because I'm defender but it still is only good for pvp not pve
-
1 ReplyThere are definitely better exotics for general use, but the Skullfort has some situational value that makes it worth the strange coins (if you have extra). IMO it's always nice to have options when it comes to exotic perks. If you think you can gather enough strange coins before next weekend, buy it. If you're struggling with coins, pick it up next time around.

Doesn't tickle my fancy mike armamentarium or ruin wings

Got the Saint out of a legendary helmet engram the other day. Looks cool I'll give it that.
-
It's average at best
-
1 ReplyIt's garbage, if the Titan had a skill that made melee attacks actually worth it then it might be useful. Against anything strong or high level it's gonna wreck you up close. Especially in CE.

It all depends on what subclass you use. I really like using my Glasshouse because the extended duration of weapons of light is awesome in boss fights.

Edited by Whoppenheimer: 1/10/2015 5:05:15 AMSave up for Inmost of light or the chest. Here's my recommendation. Inmost of light= Striker Saint-14= Defender The ruined wings iz good if you're using a good exotic heavy. The chest(forgot how to spell it) is good for pvp not a pve if you ask me. But IMO
-
No need really. Helm of inmost light, armamentarium-PvP Helm of saint 14, ruin wings-PvE That's pretty much all you need. Dismantled skullfort every time, the perks really aren't that great. But, if you have the coin and want to screw around with it feel free. I bought mk 44 stand asides last week......for no particular reason, other than to screw around with the shoulder charge perk.

Decent pvp helmet
-
In certain situations, like the beginning of Crota's End, skullfort is really useful but is easily beat by other exotics.
-
1 ReplyIt's an exotic that doesn't stack up against other titan exotics. Helm of Saint 14 Ruin wings Two much more solid choices for PVE. Helm of Inmost Light One better for PVP. All in all, it's mediocre, but looks cool.

Greed and collection that's my moto

1 ReplySkullfort is designed to be used with Overload and Shoulder Charge. Overload gives Stormfist a chance to cooldown immediately on hit; Shoulder Charge counts as a melee kill for Transfusion only (no other melee special procs from SC). So, since Skullfort gives you free Transfusion, you can choose Aftershocks or Headstrong instead. Headstrong gives you an extra point of Agility (maybe someone cares). I usually use Headstrong and DFA, but Aftermath and Aftershocks (with Pulse or Lightning grenade) is a great option too. Inmost Light is a better helmet by most standards, since it gives 2 skill points instead of 1. But Skullfort is underrated IMO. It's the only way to combine Aftershocks and Transfusion.
-
I use it on my Titan, but to be honest he's only good for getting mats for my hunter. I do like the free transfusion though, that's a really good perk. In my opinion.
-
Very week helm as storm grip is a very poor melee ability. I would argue all other titan exotics are more useful personally. However if it gives you your highest light level then just roll with it until you get something better.
-
1 ReplyI don't use it. Pre TDB, I frequently used the Armamentarium. Post TDB, I'm all Ruin Wings all the time.
-
It doesn't provide anything other than transfusion, freeing up headstrong or aftershocks. Inmost light grants headstrong and death from above. It's the superior striker helm, but skullfort is still good if you need a striker specific exotic. Plus, I think it looks the best and it's color is changed by shaders, making it look good with just about any gear

Edited by McFLY da gawd: 1/9/2015 9:17:43 PMthe saint helm is def the best, the Insurmountable Skullfort looks nice but its just alright.... It was my first Exotic Armor piece:( tears... but for a striker the helm of the inmost light is a better move.. trust me
-
5 RepliesDon't buy it. Save your coins for Armemantarium. Xur sells it frequently. Extra grenade makes a huge difference.

looks pretty damn cool but the stats aren't really the greatest.

Edited by your f(r)iend: 1/9/2015 11:29:39 PMskullfort is alright I prefer the others though

5 RepliesIt's the best striker helmet. Superior to helm of inmost light.
