Titan opinions on Insurmountable Skullfort
Xur is selling this weekend. I have Glass House but don't really use it much. Would really like Saint-14 but until I can obtain that one I was thinking of picking this one up. Looks beastly for Striker class and PvP. What are your thoughts?
Edit: Lots of good input. Thanks. Also, just an fyi since I see a lot of other suggestions, I already have Amamentarium, Glass House, Ruin Wings, and MK 44's. Was considering Skullfort for Striker and disco dancing but decided to pass on it for now. Really would like Saint 14 for defender use. Let's see if RNGesus or Xur will be kinder to me. 14 RepliesEdited by Scud: 1/11/2015 3:52:12 PMThe biggest benefit you won't get with any other titan exotic is you spawn with melee. That's huge in crucible. Not only do you spawn with melee but the helmet is designed to help you stay alive longer (...to get melee again). Everyone is going to say Helm of Inmost Light. That's all well and good but death from above? I think i've used it once, as a joke. It's fun for PvE. In pvp, tell me how many times you've seen death from above. So in a way it's mostly just headstrong for free. So that let's you take transfusion. Ok, skullfort let's you take headstrong... They both let you do the same thing. The other benefits are increased melee speed (can be gotten on gauntlets) and reducing melee from orbs (bleh, skullfort gives you free melee every spawn). In both cases you can go the aftermath route too.

I think the Armentarium is better due to the extra grenades and the extra heavy ammo. And having extra heavy ammo can make a huge difference in the Crucible.

Use it if you don't have Ruin Wings, but otherwise, avoid. MK44 Standasides are only useful if you want to really annoy some people in PVP with shoulder charge.

1 ReplyBest striker exotic, spawn with melee coupled with overload means you can ignore str stat. transfusion is awesome, also triggers on shoulder charge and too bumps to grenade recharge are fantastic. that and it makes you feel like a 3rd member of daft punk.

Don't really use it a lot, usually stick with ruin wings, saint 14 or armamentarium

1 ReplyGreat for pve strikers. Couple the Skullfort with Monte Carlo and set your thunder fist to AoE (discharge). Perfect.

Pick it up. Good for crota hard, if you need health, and it works pretty good in pvp.

It's really good. Health regen In orbs and in melee and shoulder charge allow for a much more aggressive PLAYSTYLE

For PvP I prefer Armamentarium. Double lightning grenades is amazing. It's a shame there isn't an unrestricted exotic setting for PvP/PvE...would be so much more fun.

If you PvP, it is awesome. Much better than inmost light although I prefer armamentarium.

I just bought Skullfort last week from xur and got saint 14 right after expansion release lol. Both good in different ways.

I own it. Only because I don't like earning XP on maxed out stuff. Will never use it. Ruin Wings/Glass house in PvE and Mk. 44's in crucible.
