Bounty Trick Cheating - FIX THIS
Bungie,
I assume you know about the bounty trick that if you are logged in at reset time you will see the new bounties for the day and can complete them. Then log out and come back and they will be there again for you to do.
Basically earning yourself double the rep and XP daily. Many people have been exploiting this bug and have reached Eris Rank 4, unlocking very important trades for shards and other required items.
It is unreasonable to ask people to be up for reset everyday and for those who do not have the lifestyle to wake up early everyday they cannot take advantage of this.
Either fix it or provide more bounties daily so people who cannot take advantage of this do not get left behind.
This should be fixed soon or have a new system put in place to allow everyone to gain extra rep and XP daily.
I would also appreciate if people replied to this civilly instead of repeated threats since you are worried Bungie will take your exploit away.
If you believe it is fine to keep this glitch in, then there should be a way for everyone to have the chance at double XP and rep no matter your time zone.
Other vendors are not a big deal but Eris has become more important due to her shard/energy trade and other items needed to upgrade weapons like Murmur.
It is not a race, but it is unfair for people who have busy lives and cannot be up until late hours of the night on a daily basis.
I hope this post makes Bungie and the community aware of this. Whether to exploit it for those who did not know or for Bungie to allow for everyone to get more rep and XP daily.

I see your complaint about the double bounty glitch. Not something you think should happen but left in so long its almost a part of the game. But your asking that every one gets the benefit of a exploit, tho not a really big one it is a exploit, and reaping rewards with out doing it. To me this is like asking for Atheon loot or Crota loot do to people cheesing them but yet not stepping into the raid. This is something that if you want to partake, you have to cut back on sleep or be lucky in the right time zone. I got friends that are up a reset and sleep right after it. To me this effects very little in the game other then Iron Banner and most cheese 32s can't hold there own. Getting hold of Items that every one will get to at one point is not that big. So unless you have something els other then "thy can do it and we cant" I don't think you have much in the way of stopping or partaking in this in a alternate fashion.

It really isn't that big of a deal. Most days people that do it only get one or two bounties that they can double, not all of them. and most of Europe do it all the time because their reset is in mid morning.

They said if u wanna stay up or get up for it power to u as for me nope i prefer sleeping also lvl 32 and have a maxed ally so rank 4 who really cares.

Your not forced to do that and if they wish to wake up at such an ungodly hour than that is their choice. Besides this is not hurting you in any way, shape or form.

Who cares. If you want to get up at 4am to do stuff like that, more power to you. Doesn't effect me in anyway. If anything it's a positive in my world. The people I know that do it, have a higher rank and their guns always leveled for PvE.

1 ReplyI don't care about glitching and cheating if it doesn't affect me. If they wanna level up faster, good for them. If you wanna legit, go for it and get that warm fuzzy feeling.

Actually, as a person with limited time, I find this 'exploit' beneficial. It has saved me time by decreasing the amount of total days I need to be logged in and complete the bounties to take advantage of them. So instead of logging 5 days a week, I'm able to log in 3 days and have about the same total bounties completed. Then pass on the bounties in the other two days and do raids, night falls, weekly. Legit or cheese base on the fireteam team composition. In regards to vanguards bounties, I have only been able to take advantage of the few selected 5k bounties. And in regards to Eris bounties. I have taken advantages of all her bounties, even after achieving rank 4 for the exp. I'm able to log in and do double bounties for twice the rewards. Get my double reputations, my double bounties exp, and be 'that' much closer to my next vanguard and Eris rank. Not to mention unlocking 2-3 upgrades perks on the legendaries and exotic. Point is, why fix something that isn't broken. Rather improve what is already happening. We, the hard working players with limited leisure and time, also wants to enjoy every content of the game, in all it's shapes and forms. Such as ranking up reputations, and unlocking exotics upgrades. If you know it's an exploit or a cheat, or the legit way to play, which would you play? And why should other play like you? Why other should not play like you? I leave you with that thought. It's a question that often appears when we, as guardians, face our destiny. "What does the guardian guards the Earth from?"

People in Europe get the reset in the morning-noonish. In North America we have to stay up super late to do this.

I wonder if anyone had the thought that maybe it's not a glitch and bungie has done this on purpose? You can even check my stats I do not even use this method. I'm just curious if it's been here from the start and if it was there on purpose lol.

9 RepliesThere's no time limit on Eris either, if it takes you 2 weeks or 2 months to get to rank 4, so what? Eris rep isn't going to reset. I'm just curious if Bungie is actually planning on making advancement past rank 4 worthwhile? As I see it now, there's nothing to benefit from past rank 4.

I don't see it as a cheat! I think of it as an exploit to a problem that needs to be fixed. It's unfair for the people who do not have the time to do it.
