Bounty Trick Cheating - FIX THIS
Bungie,
I assume you know about the bounty trick that if you are logged in at reset time you will see the new bounties for the day and can complete them. Then log out and come back and they will be there again for you to do.
Basically earning yourself double the rep and XP daily. Many people have been exploiting this bug and have reached Eris Rank 4, unlocking very important trades for shards and other required items.
It is unreasonable to ask people to be up for reset everyday and for those who do not have the lifestyle to wake up early everyday they cannot take advantage of this.
Either fix it or provide more bounties daily so people who cannot take advantage of this do not get left behind.
This should be fixed soon or have a new system put in place to allow everyone to gain extra rep and XP daily.
I would also appreciate if people replied to this civilly instead of repeated threats since you are worried Bungie will take your exploit away.
If you believe it is fine to keep this glitch in, then there should be a way for everyone to have the chance at double XP and rep no matter your time zone.
Other vendors are not a big deal but Eris has become more important due to her shard/energy trade and other items needed to upgrade weapons like Murmur.
It is not a race, but it is unfair for people who have busy lives and cannot be up until late hours of the night on a daily basis.
I hope this post makes Bungie and the community aware of this. Whether to exploit it for those who did not know or for Bungie to allow for everyone to get more rep and XP daily.

... Why does it matter? Hitting Eris rank 4 only means they can hit 32 faster (Not effecting PVP since levels don't count.) Hitting Vanguard rank 3 only means weapons, again not effecting you. Literally nothing with the ranking systems effect you, since all it is, is more experience for them to upgrade exotics or armor. It'll get patched, but even so, it's not doing anything to you at all.

1 ReplyIf you were up at reset time and you had the opportunity you'd take it don't lie to yourself. Yeah its a glitch but they'll patch it eventually anyway but your mad because people have what you don't. So what, not like wining is gonna get you further in life (or games for this matters) suck it up and grind the shit not like stopping them from doing that is gonna level you up any soon. I haven't done the "double dip" yet mostly cause I just haven't gotten to it but I'm not gonna wine around. I come on here to see what people are wining about today and yours tops em all

Factor in I missed several bounties since the release of the DLC, and I should already be level 4. Regardless of how busy you life is, you can still be level 4 by now. Exploit or not, it really doesn't affect you in any way... Because if I reach level 32 faster than you do, how does that impact your game?

If you can't get it because of your own reasons/issues then don't ask to have it removed. I can't get full raid set gear for my titan till now, but your titan has it (Following your logic) Bungie should remove your raid set gear because it's "unfair"

Quit bitching. If someone wants to wake up early as hell in the morning to do this let them. No one is gaining an advantage doing this. Half the time I am doing bounties to level up secondary armor or weapons 5th in line. Just get better.

1 ReplyFirst let me start by saying I've only done this 3 times, Once on purpose and the others by accident. What I don't understand sir is why and how someones progression in the game affects you? If they reach level 90 before you due to your lifestyle then it is not something to be banished or punished for. You have real life that stops you from getting more out of the game as do I, but I am not envious to the point that I want others fun, exploits or antics in the game to be hindered for the simple reason that I don't have time to do these things. You have to really realize what you're saying " If I can't do then no one else should be able to either", and I know you put the little plug in about if you don't stop them then at least let me have a chance at 2xp but that is still really more of the same envy, meaning your entire enjoyment of the game is based on what others have and that's no fun at all man! Now I've been very respectful and tactful with my words, not just per your request but that is the way I convey myself so I hope you understand my message. Good day

Simply put, this is something that only a certain demographic can take advantage of. It makes no sense from a gameplay perspective that this should exist to benefit people, while others cannot partake. Enough of the mommy and crying jokes. They are lame and I really am bored of them. I am an adult and do not need your childish behaviour in this thread. All of it has been reported over and over and over. Gameplay elements like this should not exist to benefit some and not be available to many.

I never have done this trick, but I fail to see the harm in its existence. You say that it's not a race to level up, but then continue to complain that people can rank up faster than you. If those select individuals are willing to spend their time and risk their health staying up late, who are you to cry foul. Their rank with Eris has no effect on your characters or your game playing experience. I understand your concerns. I feel something like this is not egregious enough for me to complain about.

Don't really need to be up just in orbit,wake up grab bounties do them and turn in. Logout and get them again. I fkn hate posts like this .... Everyone games differently , worry about yourself not the guardian who's ahead of you.
