I've been hearing that they are legal to use. Is this true? I would like to know, not sure if it benefits you in PVP or in Destiny overall. If anyone has insight into this let me know!
Any recommendations on modded controllers. How does this one look and sound to you? I honestly just want the rapid fire to shoot my scout rifles without having to lift my finger.

Edit: I think everyone is getting the wrong idea. I have an illness that I cramp with repetitive movements. Lifting my finger up and down for a long time cramps my hands up. I have VoC but I don't want to be limited to that weapon. I only ask to find out if it works to fire in full auto, same fire RATE. I'm not looking to increase the rate of fire of guns to work in my benefit. Sorry for not stating this earlier.

11 RepliesSome modded controllers have like rapid fire. Rapid fire would be handy for like hand cannons and shotguns.

I have a friend that payed over 200 bucks for rapid and jitter, he wrecked people in halo and now in destiny, he has not so much as received a warning for it and he uses it every game, you can clearly tell something's up when he uses jitter, i do not think bungie gives a shit, you can buy a scaled down rapid fire at Walmart. It bogs most weapons that already have a high fire rate down, and makes the weapon fire slower or not at all.
-
I'm sure bungie doesn't care. It probably won't help in Destiny and even in CoD now but Semi-Auto guns no longer have a 1200 RPM, but a more reasonable 400 RPM. I miss the good days of CoD :(

Just met an automatic red death in crucible... He wrecked everything...

11 RepliesThey're not. I have a buddy doing 5-10 federal for using a modded controller.

So i know this is not modding but i got those gel caps that go on my xbone controller they were 8 bucks at gamestop for 2 pairs Anyway they grip great and are soft but more importantly, it raises the joystick, essentially making them a little longer. This gives the sticks the illusion of a higher range, which makes higher sensitivity easier to handle precisely. Anyway it was a sweet addition o just had a gift card and got em on a whim but theyre great!

1 ReplyAre modded controllers ever allowed
-
Why wouldnt they be? Its not like they can actually detect such things, so why even bother?
-
I'm pretty sure. Bungie found out someone was using a keyboard and mouse on PS4 and didn't do anything about it. If that's not modded, nothing is.
-
Check out gimika.com I just got something off there site. It's pretty sick. Just got a scuff too..I like there send in your own deal
-
1 ReplyMost modded controller give rapid fire mods but this is more focused towards cod since that game is more about trigger fingers in destiny they have fixed fire rates so it would not do anything, and if you consider scuff controllers nodded ones then those are allowed, but you really don't need a scuff in destiny
-
Destiny early on banned a bunch if people for using modded controllers so id say no
-
Who cares what controller you -blam!-ing use.
-
2 RepliesI want an xbone controller with tighter analog sticks. Is that considered modding?
-
1 ReplyDoes a mouse and keyboard on ps4 count as modified?
-
Scuf controllers have X and o buttons on paddles on the back of the controller . Nodded controllers give u features like rapid fire , dropshot, etc. Scuf is legal nodded is not
-
Bungie used to drop the ban hammer on people using mods it isn't ok it's against the terms of use and gives you an unfair advantage. Very easy to spot when you rate of fire is perfect every time.
-
If by modded you mean changed to better fit a person's playstyle, then yes. Nothing wrong with that!
-
Sure!
Just don't mod it!
-
Enragedcinema plays with one

Modded peripherals are used all the time. (Especially with pc) Honestly there isn't anything wrong with them except some people's point of view. If it helps you get it. Modded consoles/games on the other hand... Yeah expect to go down in hellfire

Edited by Afawafa: 4/1/2015 3:24:18 AMWell, it's not like they can catch you. Anyway, even if you use a modded controller with a rapid fire mod, it will only give you a tiny advantage if any. None of the semi-automatic weapons actually have a high fire rate cap and even the fastest firing scout's max fire rate can be reached fairly easy. So don't feel too bad about it.

5 RepliesEdited by StormbladeX69: 3/31/2015 10:06:59 PMA little OT, but this thread made me remember an Official Nintendo Controller that had adjustable auto for the A/B buttons back in the day for the NES. ^_^

I use thumb grips and foam pads and custum shells to make my game comfortable. I will tell you however that I don't have a turbo, but if I did I wouldn't aim any better.

Mine is painted red and has blue led light instead of white one at xbox button. Works perfect ;-)
