So here is yet another area found by people glitching, supposedly this area was there during the beta as well... Frankly, the amount of polish this area has is absurd. This isn't a place holder for a more polished space to be added later, this is on disc content that's being blocked. DLC now officially stands for Developer Locked Content.
If you have yet to buy the season pass I highly suggest you do NOT purchase the DLC. Furthermore, if and when another Destiny title is released I ask that you purchase it used and above all do NOT pre-order if you really want a new copy.
The reason I suggest this is because as consumers we should vote with our money. If we allow this to go without recourse they will continue this practice. If they want to charge $100 for the game then they should do it from the start. If they actually develop add on content then I could understand additional costs. Locking areas from people and then charging them for it isn't the right way to adjust prices for inflation.
What do you guys think?
Also, I could care less if I'm allowed to post this video here. Ban me, block me, do whatever the -blam!- you want. I've been here long enough to know the proper counter measures for such actions.

1 ReplyI think what bothers me is that it feels like the heart of the story was ripped out. I would have rather been restricted to earth fulfilling my destiny to a jaw dropping storyline that would have just dropped off making us want more(dlc) instead its like we've played pieces of what dlc will fill in which is a lot less exciting imo
-
1 ReplyI totally agree with you if that is how it is. I truly enjoy the game, I have fun playing it but I will not support this kind of business practices were shit in the disc is blocked out and you have to pay to even use it. I was going to buy the DLC expansion packs because i really have fun playing the game but after seeing this kind of stuff, I am no longer buying anything. I will not support this in video games with my money. -blam!- Activision and Bungie

6 RepliesSo you like long download times for dlc?
-
1 ReplyWow you're right that shit is way too polished up to be dlc, I know there is a lot of cut content that is on the disc but locked out of the game but this is crazy, hopefully people will find more of these so we can see what the game should have been

Edited by JustDawgyDawg: 10/14/2014 4:18:29 AM"Guys deadline is coming up, we need to push it back, this game isn't complete." "Eh, throw a few of the polished levels in the game with a few random cutscenes and call it good! We'll just charge them for the rest of the content that we didn't complete yet that makes the game make sense."
-
I always wanted to see the inside of a Ketch. Looks sick
-
Area looks exactly like that mission on venus to kill the Archon Winter Kell. Get ready for some more of the same shit we have been playing
-
F*** you Activision for ruining what could've been a good game.
-
3 RepliesI think that if we put this kind of effort and caring into more practical and urgent issues in society rather than video games we'd be better of as a whole.
-
Like they said it's not Bungie. Its -BLAMING! Activision that want the moola $$$. That's why they release cod every year for money.
-
11 RepliesOh. my. god people. Locked content on disc??? It's just an empty area, I don't see complete content here. No wonder it's not in the game, they were still working on this at release. Get real. You want them to release an empty ship just because you can run through it? Do you not see how far you are taking your bullcrap? You are slandering a company just because of the "OMG I WANT IT NOW BECAUSE REASONS" entitlement complex. Just take a step back, consider all of the angles and quit jumping to conclusions. You are making us gamers look bad.

Edited by Nick Peck: 10/14/2014 3:15:47 AMIf that is how you feel then you should quit gaming lol. Destiny is not the first or the last game to do this. Though I do agree that Activision forced bungie to part out the game like this which forced a lot of changes in the final game. May or may not be true but that's exactly what it seems like to me.

Edited by Squishyyy101: 10/14/2014 6:16:05 AMI think you are moron. Lol a lot of games have done disc locked content and I really don't care. It's the same thing as having the other kind of dlc that you download. Same shit.
-
8 RepliesPeople don't understand (for whatever reason) that dlc is usually on the disk already. You download the key to unlock it so that you don't have to download a 4gb file. I agree that dlc is kind of lame, and needs a price cut at the very least. But people freaking out over the fact that it's already on the disk is getting annoying. Look it up. A lot of other games do it FOR YOU. So that you, with the 1mb/s internet, don't have to wait all day for your dlc to download. I appreciate that. Thank you Bungie. I would prefer dlc be cheaper, but they need to make a profit somehow if they want to continue supporting a game post-launch. Everybody needs to stop freaking out over this.
-
How do you KNOW this content will be charged for? Perhaps it's tied to some future event? In any case, doesn't matter much to me. If it's the DLC model or the subscription model, I'll take the DLC model any day.
-
I have no problem with DLC. What has bothered me is that for 60$ I was expecting more and from what I can tell, there was supposed to be more, but it was cut out specifically to sell as DLC. For how long this game was in development and for the amount of areas that have been discovered, there is little that bungie/activision can say that will persuade me. DLC should be for content that is developed after the game goes gold, and they obviously had a ton of stuff in the works and simly decided to cut that content from release while they 'polish' it up.
-
I'm going to buy every DLC for this game because I like it.
-
This is amazing. I'll keep playing this game just because of my friends that want to do raids and have a fun time, but after Dragon Age and GTA V release, this shit is going to grab dust for the rest of my life. I already bought the DLC so I just wasted money there. I cannot believe the same people that brought us Halo, made this game. And for blam's sake stop defending this game. No matter if you love, you think that it is good as it is, it is not acceptable. I and many others don't give a shit about DLC always have been in the disc bullshit. This game is -blam!-ing finished, but hey Activision decided to chop it up and put the cut content on DLC to get more munny. My patience is no more, -blam!- you Bungie, and -blam!- you Activision. I will no longer give chances and hopes for this game. And what's with the recent Hot Fix my boy? Nerfing the Vex Mythoclast? How low can you actually go with whiners. I don't have that gun and I definitely have been getting owned by it in the crucible and the piece of shit Iron Banner, but I never bitch about it, because that damn gun is supposed to be the most powerful in the game, it is hard to earn, and to see it getting dumbed down like that just screams "-blam!- ya'll who worked hard to get it, we want it to be fair and square." You focused on -blam!-ing up the Mythoclast instead of fixing the Bad Juju and other exotics.
Too many blams there.... Compared to all the blams Bungie bombed Destiny with.... I say It's even. Not really....
Guys it is a placeholder built into the game!
-
1 ReplyGod this game should have been so awesome. *uck you activision and *uck you bungie.
-
2 RepliesMaybe they're waiting until they can come up with a story.
-
bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh You guys COMPLETELY missed the point of destiny. It's a game that's going to continuously improve/change and more content unlocked/released as time goes on. Bungie OBVIOUSLY left certain places in the game almost accessible as teasers for what might be next. There's enough of these places on Earth alone to more than double or even triple the story line length. You also COMPLETELY missed the point of ANY video game. When you buy a game you aren't paying for a specific amount of data. You're paying for an experience. The disc contains a good portion of that experience. Future DLC will further enhance the disc content. DLC isn't meant to be an entire new game.
-
3 RepliesI'm no expert, but aren't most game worlds, for mmo's like Destiny and WoW, hosted on their own servers? If so, this would not really be on disc content, but the content would be on the server. I think most of what is on disc is the files, like textures, code, etc, while a server handles the game world. Besides, every game company starts making their DLC very early in the process. If they didn't, you would not get 4 COD DLCs every year. You probably wouldn't even get 1 every year. Game content takes a long time to make, and gamers have voted that they want expanded content for their games. Game Dev's have to consider this when creating a game. Plus, every MMO in existence has had, or plans to have, expanded content. You have to remember that Destiny is an MMOFPS, not a COD clone. They want to have content for at least 10 years, and that requires a little planning of expanded content.

1 ReplyLmao bought DLC pass +7 others for giveaways. Umadbruh?
