I have brown skin, and people call me a terrorist at school. I tried telling my teacher that I don't like when they humiliate me, but they do not do anything. One time during 9/11, we were watching a video on the event, and one person said "is that your dad flying the plane". I wanted to beat him up, but I restrained, knowing it will only intensify the stereotype. I don't know what to do. I ALWAYS feel like the odd man out.
What should I do? Plz tell me.
PS: I'm not Muslim, nor should that matter. I'm just brown (South Asian descent)

Go to Kinkos and hire Stelio Kontos.

Do something more weird for them to make fun of instead. I will suggest wearing a dress.

They're just retarded white pigs

Just start -blam!-ing people up or tell your superintendent. Both will work

Just spark them the -blam!- out. Srs.

Bring an RPG to school and shove it up their rectums

Private or public school? If there are school policies on hate speech or harassment/bullying find them and then cite them when you speak with the school councillor. If that doesn't work speak with the principle or district administration. Don't get angry or insulting, if it hurts show it but being aggressive will net you poor out ones. Keep in mind that someone who says insensitive or hurtful things is usually one of two things: Ignorant -Or- Insecure Sometimes, they're both. It doesn't make the comments any less painful but at least for me it was a slight consolation to know they were pretty miserable human beings as well. Personally, sports and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu helped me get perspective. People being insensitive isn't as much of an issue when you have an outlet and supportive teammates. The upside? It'll get better as you get older, at least in my experience. Cheers mate.

They are beneath your acknowledgement. Take no notice of the jealous hooting of lesser people.

Unfortunately, sometimes you have to have thick skin in today's society. If no one can help, you'll have to ignore, be the bigger man and move on, and just deal with it. Sorry, but unfortunately that's life :/

Edited by Versace: 9/30/2014 3:43:47 AMI'm Asian, also. It helps to find other kids the same ethnicity as you are so you have at least someone who can help. Also helps to live in a place with diversity. Lack of diversity is what kills the South (excluding TX and Florida)

The lack of Faith in humanity just kills me inside

5 RepliesEdited by xRADIOACT1V3x: 9/30/2014 3:10:54 AMWell I'd start off by telling the principal. At my school, racism results in possible suspension and contact of police. Because shit like that is unacceptable. Good for you being the bigger person and not lashing out at that guy.I probably would have beaten his ass so badly that when I got sent to the principals office he would personally smack the shit out of that kid too. Using 9/11 as an insult like that is just low.

Don't let the stupidity of others bother you, otherwise you will always be miserable. And if the occasional person takes it way too far, break his jaw.
