Characters persisting through Beta?
People have talked and asked about this a lot, if your character is staying through the beta of destiny. Now, I don't have an answer for that, but I have a theory.
Throughout the beta they have allowed us to collect legendary weapons and other goods for our characters that we cannot use till we are level 20. Why? I believe they are going to allow characters from the beta into the full game. Otherwise, why give us all the legendary gears that we cannot use yet?
Also, we have discovered that there is a 25,000 limit on glimmer. Why put a limit on glimmer in the beta? If our characters were going to be wiped, the amount of glimmer of we had would not matter, but if our characters are going to carry over to the full game, farming glimmer throughout the beta and going into the full game with 100,000 or more would be unfair and destabilize any economy the game might have.
Anyone else have any thoughts or comments on this? Or any reasons to think yes or no on characters carrying over to the full game?

My honest guess after doing the alpha and beta I think we may get to carry over a handful of items because every item is used for upgrades except for the coin. That coin may b a way to keep a item for each coin. It's just a guess with my friends and I but it's possible so Saturday will see who's right about this. If you guys have a mic mature and wanna kick ass with our group add me. If you are a kid and try I'll block u so please no bs ppl I am making a clan with good ppl for psn ps4. We have a dozen ppl already. Good luck everyone on 9/9

Bungie specifically said in an Eurogamer interview that that have not decided yet but some believe that was a lie to get people to play more of the beta leading them on where otherwise they would just have puttered around and stopped because the prospect of losing progress is more than a little annoying to a LOT of people.

4 RepliesThey won't carry over. The leveling was accelerated, so they wouldn't let people already at lvl 8 into the new game where it is a lot harder to get to that point and get legendaries

My guess is that the actual character and level will not transfer. HOWEVER, I do think that any weapons, gear, etc that you have collected CAN be transferred over IF you store them in the vault. Just a guess, IMO

8 RepliesI believe they won't carry over, based on that this is not the final release. This is a Beta. And history says that beta stats don't carry over. Nothing has been done to make me think there is an exception to this rule on the horizon.
