In your opinion what do you think is the OP class?
Me personally I think the classes are very balanced with strengths and weaknesses to each one.

1 ReplyThe classes are balanced man I don't get the fuss. Not because I don't value opinions but I feel like people are talking about an "OP class" they didn't use. I played Alpha & the Beta, so far, way more than I care to admit to anyone outside these forums. I used all classes. IMO they are all balanced. Why I think they're balanced I'm pretty good at the game I think. For who cares, My control K/D for Warlock is 1.78 & for hunter 1.71, I haven't used Titan much during the Beta so I won't list that one, but Titan was my first choice in Alpha. Warlock is my favorite. But more importantly, I don't even change my playstyle when I switch classes. I hop in vehicles when they're there. I jump on tall shit (whether I lifted, dbl jumped, or glided). I aim for the face at mid range. I snipe at long range. I throw a grenade at their feet around corners (albeit different grenade, different results). I shoot for a half second & melee when they're close (throwing knife w/ hunter is super cool tho one exception). There are obvious & noted differences with the supers & iron banner mode did expose me & make me change the way I play to a more calculated approach based on the situation but I still got in the shit at that choke point right outside B on the newest map with my "long range" (not tryna mock anyone just making a point) hunter & maintained that K/D (again, for those that care). Having played all classes well I think they're balanced man it just comes down to your preference. My Only "Problems" Only thing I can say is I don't think Hunter's golden gun should one hit kill when you would have completely missed if using a hand cannon. Wouldn't know that getting killed by the thing, but using it, I was surprised at some of my kills. Also, as a titan, I hit some people with the super through objects & constructs that would block any grenade other than vortex. Idk if that's intended, but it happens. Everyone seems to talk about how they died or someone else did something but you can be good with any class regardless. I'd rather tell you about my own OP moments. And even with the viability of the golden gun & tanky titans in iron banner, warlocks still w/o a doubt my favorite class Just my two cents

I feel like they're mostly fine. Whenever I get destroyed by Fist of Havoc, I curse my opponent into the seven hells, but at the end of the day it is basically a cqc only super. The warlock super feel feels to me to basically be fist of Havoc with range, so it's not particularly interesting to me. Golden Gun is awesome in power and range, but is also really limited in timeliness. You have to plan ahead with Golden Gun.

OPness is an inability of the people using the term to adapt to changing circumstances, an inability to pick the class which best fits their playstyle, an inability to strategize against and gather intel on the other classes. OPness is blaming somebody else for your own inabilities. All is balanced, just adapt.

3 RepliesBungie didn't spend 6 years and $300,000,000 on a game that is unbalanced there are algorithms in every animation, gun statistic, enemy, and vehicle in the game. Every Guardian Class' Super Charge ability has it's weakness and strength. We need more time to explore the different ways to use each to its advantages. For example: 1. Hunter's Ghost Gun PROS: High Accuracy and Range +Highest damage CONS: Time Limit + Clip Limit (3 Bullets) 2. Warlock's Nova Bomb PROS: High Range + High damage + High Blast Radius CONS: Can kill Warlock if too close to impact 3. Titan's Smash PROS: Amazing in CQC + High damage + Blast Radius CONS: Limited to Close Quarter Combat

1 ReplyEdited by Levi Skardsen: 7/21/2014 3:42:25 PMHunter pros: Golden Gun has high potential, possibly killing up to 9. Throwing knife is great for finishing off people when their shields drop. Incendiary Grenade is powerful and great for forcing people out of hiding. Overall good burst damage combined with high maneuverability. Double/triple jump provides useful escape options. Hunter cons: Golden Gun rarely reaches max potential kills; usually only 3. Golden Gun can't be used as a panic move like the other two classes. Throwing knife will get you killed if you miss or use it too early due to the recovery. Can't take hits well and shields take a while to regenerate Can be killed by Titans in one punch.

6 RepliesEdited by SomeGh0st: 7/21/2014 10:08:57 PMJust look at the leaderboard, warlocks obviously have a hard time and this reflects in what a lot of top players commented on: recovery doesn't help in most engagements and glide is the worst movement ability because it is too slow making you an easy target. That being said I think it will be balanced at 20 with teleport and possibly more overall cooldown reduction from more stats which will work in the warlock's favor since they have great abilities.

They're balance enough but they could use a few tweaks here and there.
-
Yes they are balenced use any 1 of them of the 3 they all kill u with just one. The warlock hits u die, the hunter hits u die , the titan hits u die its balanced
-
1 ReplyYes, but I hate how whilst all the supers are "super", Titan and Warlock supers can be panic movies, whereas the Hunter has to be prepare well in advance for around the same amount of damage.
-
I play as a Titan but I admit hunter is UP. It sucks!
-
I would not honestly be able to tell you if they were balanced or not I have only played one class to level 8 and it wouldn't be proper for me to advise you otherwise until I have seen the full capability of all classes.
-
I personally only play tanks in games. They fit my playstyle the best. So while I have a Hunter and warlock, the only class I got past 2 was my Titan. The classes are amazingly well balanced, but something about using my super just makes me feel better.
-
1 ReplyClasses balanced except for warlocks grenades as I've gotten triple kills from the grave as people looked at the grenade the wrong way and died. Primary weapons are not in pvp. Most people carry auto rifles as they are the best short-mid distance wep.
-
Yes theyre balenced... Bc they are equally powerful... Hunters are fast but cant take many hits... Titans are slow but can take hits... See what i mean?

1 ReplyTitans in iron banner. So OP. Too much defense and damage. All they need is a good assault rifle, shotgun/sniper rifle, high armor gear. Its really sad as to how much crap they can take and walk away with only minor cuts and bruises.
-
They are. As a hunter I feel *very* safe keeping guardians at range; you pretty much have to one-shot snipe me in order to kill me before I dive in to cover. But when I see someone getting close to my camping spot, if they are a warlock or a titan, I know I am in trouble. This may be because I almost exclusively use a scout rifle, however.

1 ReplyAll of them have OP moves. Which, in my opinion, makes them all balanced. I loved every second of the Beta so far. PvP was awesome.
-
They're all balanced in their own way! They all have a roll within a fireteam and it's up to the players to see that!

I find that the balance in this game is really solid. Every class suggests a different style of play and I think people want to just play the game as their own imaginary class. Yes each class is capable of playing the same role. (Except for hunter as a support) but they are fine tuned. Hunters are made to stay away from the fray. They have a long raged super. And use snipers as well as hand canons. They are more about precision because they don't have a lot of defense. They are agile, but get in ones face it's over. They are meant to be stealthy. Not the rush into combat style of play. Warlocks too me seem to be in the middle. They can be most effective in close range quarters but with their high recovery rate they can slip out the fray. Their super isn't as long ranged as the hunter but they don't have to be as personal as the Titan. They are all about in and out sort of style. Titan are the tanks. They get right down the nitty gritty. I played with a few in pvp and I think so far they were the ones leading the pack. They took so much damage. Hunters are doomed if they get close. And their super was thee most annoying for me to deal with. It's the direct answer to the Hunter. These are all focused around my options and experience.
