Simple question. I rationally don't believe in the supernatural. But I think it'd be cool like in supernatural. To gank ghosts, not to get killed by them. That's why I go explore haunted houses. It might be that against all of my better judgement, I might still believe in them.

People don't believe in anything until they see it for themselves. Bigfoot, aliens, ghosts, anything like that, people won't believe until they see it themselves. It's the age we live in, it's too easy to fake things and make them look real

Not particularly

10 RepliesNo. The colloquial assumption placed on ghosts are disproportional to what I know about physics, meaning that the explanation for how ghosts work and what they are makes them logically and rationally untenable. The ability to decohere from physical reality and walk through walls and the like, yet still remain stationary without electromagnetic resistance stopping them from falling through the ground towards the center of the planet seems silly to me. If ghosts can become intangible and walk through walls or what have you, why would they not fall through the ground due to gravity? If they are somehow immune to gravity, why then are they on the planet surface to begin with? The planet is spinning on its axis, revolving around a star, which itself is moving around a galaxy, which itself is moving around with other galaxies, which themselves are moving with a huge cluster of galaxies. Unless all that movement cancels out to zero so that intangible things that don't react to gravity can remain stationary in space and time thus on our planet, which we know it doesn't, then their physically an impossibility. ON top of that, since the notion of dead people fits within and appeals to our specific brand of evolved conscience and body type, it makes MUCH more sense if they are mere mental constructs, not actually existing, but something our brains make to explain physical phenomena that it can't otherwise rationally explain. It makes much more sense to think that ghosts and the supernatural, lacking energy transference rules in the physical universe, would be just shit we are literally making up because our brains are inherently irrational. That's my take on it at least.

15 RepliesSupernatural stuff? I'm inclined to say yes from past experience. Ghosts? I'm not so sure.
-
I mean, I do but then I think that's just a irrational fear. So I would also say no. Nothing ever happens to me but I have stories of what happened to others(friends).

Yes and no. I have mixed feelings. I've had a lot of "supernatural" stuff happen to me, but I don't know if I believe in ghosts.
