I'm new to Beta testing and was wondering if the progress we make with our Character will be able to be carried over to finished game?

7 RepliesNo Everyone should start at the same slate No one should have a early advantage The most we should get is maybe a special item or memento of sone form as a "thanks" for participating in the beta

11 RepliesWe can't have any selfish beaters in the community!
Don't get it? Go watch Sword Art Online (top notch anime)
I would prefer that everyone start back at square one on the final launch. If data carries over, I'll be starting a new character either way. With the BETA experience, it won't take long to catch back up anyways.

I really hope so. It would be stupid if we have to start all over again and it's not that players who played beta are going to be overpowered.. we are just going to be 8 levels higher or something

2 RepliesI'd like it if players of the BETA keep the loot but reset all other aspects (exp, vanguard, grimoire, etc.) This would reward people who earned the loot without putting them too far ahead in September. I will play the final game from very beginning despite but it won't allow players in public areas to cruise through everything as others are catching up.

1 ReplyI think it should but probably not

No, characters made in Beta won't make it to launch. They want everyone to be on an "even playing field".

8 RepliesNo but we do get some nice items to show our support through beta tests

13 RepliesAs excited as I am for the beta I hope not. I dont want my stats to be carried over or my characters. Im using the beta as a demo, and a tutorial. I want to explore as much as possible with all three classes. I want to make miatakes, that way when the game releases I know exactly what character I want to use and how I want to play. However I would like some beta players only "badge of honor" something purely cosmetic, that shows others I was one of the people to play the game first and I know what I am doing.

I hope were able to transfer our characters without all of our stats and such. Just the character itself so we don't have to recreate it. If we transferred with all of our awesome gear fresh players will constantly accuse us as op

2 RepliesI doubt it but wouldn't be surprised if we got a stat less Cape or something that is unique

1 ReplyEdited by SquattingTurtle: 10/7/2013 12:34:41 AMPersonally i want it to feel fresh when it starts. They [i]could[/il] do what bf4 is doing and just severely limit how much stuff you can unlock. If anything give me a cool accessory or something instead.

1 Replyi hope not,if the beta is on for a few weeks and you maybe hit top rank and the game comes out,you wont have much to do on the game (thinking logistically here) would be cool if they let you keep a few peices of armor and weapons and they scaled them down to a lower lvl for you
-
1 ReplyI'm not sure it's not bungie style but I think it would be cool to be the Vanguard :)
-
1 ReplyHopefully. Just like the bf4 beta.

3 RepliesA vanguard tittle would be cool.

3 RepliesHopefully they will

2 RepliesI hope not.

1 ReplyWell as I understand it a lot of developers give you something, generally cosmetic, in the main game or for your GT after the Beta period ends. Stats might... but I doubt any progression will.
-
6 RepliesI would prefer a title or a armor set but just something small to distinguish us from people that dont get the beta. but nothing that is going to put us so far ahead of the rest of the group. But then again, we did do the beta and put all that time into it. I dont know. I am rambling but we should get something for participating in the beta.

It's just a bit tricky.

1 ReplyI just assume the beta would just be a series of missions/pvp you could play through with or without friends so they can check balancing and stuff. I don't think it'll actually be all open world-y. Of course, I could be wrong, but I personally haven't heard anything suggesting otherwise.
