I've enjoyed playing serious games since I was 6 years old. Back then I was mostly into strategy like Age of Empires. I moved around, playing many genres over the years. I remember very clearly my first glimpse of a Bungie creation from when I was 12. I was at the snow (I'm from Australia) and a family friend had an Xbox he brought with him. He was playing something called Halo. I joined in a bit and I wasn't very good, but I can vividly remember the thrill I got from playing it that I'd never experienced before. From that time on, I wanted nothing more than to get an Xbox and Halo for Birthday, Christmas, whatever. It was 6 years later that I bought Halo 2 (PC) to play on my out-dated Vista Toshiba. I loved it so much that I neglected my year 12 exam studies. Thanks to my 120 IQ I was able to get a mark of 75 (out of 100). When I got an Xbox 2 years ago I bought CE anniversary, Halo 3, ODST, and Reach, as well as COD:BO. Now, thanks to my 1300 hours playing Skyrim and spending 200 hours in the Creation Kit, I'm doing a games development course. My real passion is writing fiction. It was a hobby for 5 years, and since I was apparently writing quality stuff, I figured that writing for games couldn't be that different. I feel like I'm meant to entertain people with my imagination, and my classmates agree. You guys at Bungie are the best developers out there (Bethesda coming close), and it would be a dream come true to join the team in the next 5 to 10 years. On the topic of Destiny, I'm wondering if split-screen will make it in. I have an Xbox at each of my parent's houses, so I can always get 2 copies of Destiny to play with my brother, but it would save me $100. Just the life story and important questions from a big fan, fellow gamer, and possibly future colleague.

You guys are awesome. I know your awesome, and most gamers know you're awesome. But I want friends to know you're awesome too. Since they are less fluent in video game speak, what game or games should I say it is like to explain to them what destiny is? (To me it looks like you guys took Halo and had a baby with borderlands.)

Easter eggs are one of my favorite parts of games and I was wondering if we would be seeing anything unique like a weapon you pick up turns into an easter egg enemy, or quests that hint around other stories. We understand Halo in most likely not possible and we are able to cope with that.

you guys have hinted that there will be stealth many times, and the hunter certainly looks the part. so is it going to be just simply avoiding the enemy like the "stealth" in halo games, (not that they were bad games, just certainly not stealth games) or will it be more in-depth?

Will there be special weapons like finding a plasma sword that you can use to make your melee more powerful, or maybe even wield as a weapon of its own? you guys said this is fantasy meets sci-fi, and every good fantasy game has some kick-ass swords.

So one of the main goals of Destiny seems to be that players are united in one world to interact, conquer, and become legend together. Obviously somewhere down the road after Destiny is released some sort of additions will appear, more than likely in the form of paid DLC (I have nothing against paid DLC). In my past experience this paid DLC has created a rift between players who bought the DLC and who have not. So my question would be, how will additions to Destiny be handled? Will paid DLC create a rift between players, and if so, wouldn't this destroy the idea of Destiny being a shared world that everyone plays a part in?

When playing games the most important thing are the weapons.So I got a bunch of weapon related questions here. When looking at the weapon atwork some weapons seemed to be procedurally generated. Will it be possible to exchange parts between weapons of the same type or even of the same caliber? How likely are weapons going to drop? Will they be more likely awarded by completing missions/defeating bosses or can you take a wonderfull journey in search of some loose Fallen Heads for your trophy chamber and return with something worthfull? Which advantages are given by buying weapons with real money?

Why should I bother communicating with others when I could be exploring the world or upgrading my weapons?
