Halo Reach M45 Tactical Shotgun VS Halo 4 M45D Shotgun
Which weapon do you prefer the Halo Reach or Halo 4 shotgun? This topic is not to bitch on Halo 4 directly, but to express your opinion on the two shotguns in:
>Appearance
>Damage
>Range
And just if you like it or not. You could even bring in the M90 to this conversation if you want. (Halo 3 shotgun)

2 RepliesMy personal favorite is the M45 Tactical from Reach. Looks more like a military variant shotgun, unlike the M45D. The M45D is too sci-fi looking and if added some cool orange lights; it could pass as a forerunner weapon. Does anyone agree?

15 RepliesAppearance - Reach Damage - Halo 4* Range - Halo 4* Accuracy - not in aim, but in similarity to an actual shotgun - Reach In Halo 4, you can shoot things maybe 20' away. It's just unrealistic considering that it's birdshot rounds. (slugs would be so powerful they'd be broken) Halo Reach's shotgun is superior because it was *harder* to use. It pushed everyone who used it to get *extremely* close in order to make kills, and due to its non-semi-auto nature, required your shots to be accurate; which is actually how shotguns behave. Reach is the best all around, and I agree with Major Enigma - its sound is so much more aggressive and growly. Especially if you're playing the game in a setup with a subwoofer, you really hear what Bungie put into it - it's juicy.

My favorite shotgun is definitely the M90. But Halo 4's shotgun probably has the highest damage and farthest range.

1 ReplyI don't like the appearance of the Halo 4 shotgun or its sound. The Reach shotgun is far better looking and stays true to classic Halo design. I don't like the drastic changes of the weapon aesthetics, even on the BR.
