The most obvious things often elude you. While things have definitely calmed down here, marathon and D3 are still hot vutton topics and divisive ones at that. I dont think it was ever marathon vs. D3. We've already gotten reports from credible sources D3 is at least in preproduction. And doesn't it seem obvious that marathon is operating on a drastically improved version of the tiger engine? Smoother, improved graphics, improved net code, dedicated servers , improved AI. all things we want in D3. But thats probably just a coincidence /s.
