What happened to "more gunplay and less ability spam in PVP"?
Bungie, for the love of Buddha, decrease the ability spam. Getting tired of hunters spamming clones and swarm nades. it's still a lot since there are more hunters than warlocks and titans combined, and they dominate team compositions.

2 RepliesYa the PvP team had a good thing going with sandbox balance and the special ammo meter, then the prismatic subclass team went full Leroy Jenkins with ability spam. I don’t think there was much communication happening.

Pvp is hunter, prismatic, smoke, swarm, dodge, regeneration, high speed, khostov, Elsie, Red Death, ability spam. Rinse and repeat.

10 RepliesWhy suffer in Crucible when Gambit is right there? You can still invade for your PvP fix, and you’ll likely only be facing PvE kitted players who aren’t spamming all the cancer you’ve grown sick of. Also, we have guac and chips.

We had a good couple stretches where crucible was damn near perfect, but the same thing happens every time. You guys come here to talk crap about it when its bad, but you never show up to defend it when its good. If you did, then we might be able to manage showing bungie how much more the playerbase likes that. But instead, those few people that do get drowned out by the players who cant live without those crutches. So next time we are in a good patch, make sure to come back here and tell people off that want bungie to give their op toys back. Because I'm sick and tired of being one of like 3 people that does.

Because Bungie sucks at games. When you fire your PvP team for this game an do pull people from your grap follow on.....you get this garbage. This is the worst game in history at this point

Give it a year before it gets fixed. Bungie went from the best PvP games to the laughing stock of the PvP game community. They cant even deal with cheaters in a timely manner.

Because people complained about slow paced gameplay. The root cause of this bad sandbox is AE, we now punish the aggressor so you either need an ability or a team shot to engage confidently. Everything got worse with stasis and the introduction of AE. BUSTED abilities and punishing aggressive players is not an intelligent combo.

It was a mix of sales speel and power fantasy. They did exactly the same for Beyond Light and other previous expansions. People fall for it every time.

It was even more teamshot focused than it is now, which was horrible. I think there is a nerf on the way for clones and swarms, so that's good news.

The issue I have is the ideology of gunplay being front and center instead of allowing whatever the hell build you want. Why have it if you don't want us to use it?
