1 ReplyAs far as PvP is related, having two dodges with strand clones and slow effect, plus swarm or duskfield as well as blink and strand or void powered melee makes it impossible for people to push you. If you disengage it makes it really difficult for others to safely pursue you. I really feel like prismatic elevated hunter in a crazy way. I love it.

Rofl. Hunters are the only class that matters. Haven't you figured that out by now? I've just accepted reality. I choose not to care cause it's just a game but if I cared I would be upset unless I was a hunter. What really fascinated me was seeing them all upset about the ugly exotic class item. You only have all the best gear and abilities and dps in the game. Now you want to look the best too. Someone is a special child.

Using nighthawk means giving up the exotic class item which is a pretty big sacrifice. If they gave us blade barrage it would be crazy because we’d be able to pair it with the exotic class item to get stuff like Galanor + Star Eater. Plus it’s decent enough in PvP. If they gave us deadshot then it would be all PvP and no PvE. Marksmen’s is a good middle ground. As for combination blow, I think they chose it because disorienting is so bad that it literally would make no sense to ever use it for anything. As for Tether, deadfall with Orpheus is the weaker one of the two tether. If you’re using Orpheus it means you’re giving up the exotic class item.

I used prismatic when it was first unlocked but haven't used it since. This is mainly because of the grenades and melee being the worst ones hunter has. It's sad because the class item is only usable on prismatic - I hate that it's called a new subclass when technically it isn't it's just all our old stuff badly mashed together and not in a good well thought out way, it just seems like they ran out of time so quickly made prismatic. A new super would have been nice that combined light and dark, new grenades and melee that also combine. Instead we just use a bit of each subclass.

They used abilities that would pair and chain well with each other. It’s why Warlocks get Lightning Surge rather than Electrostatic Mind. Lightning Surge combos incredibly well with Arcane Needle. Notice how warlocks also got Incinerator Snap, which is a free, instant ignition. Bungie built Prismatic to chain together.

Tbf a lot of the hunter kit is either op, or kinda useless. Smoke bomb, disorienting blow, lw knife, and a few others are pretty useless to anything that isn't building to them specifically, or even stuff that is for some. I can say though the hunter grenade choices, besides grapple, are pretty mid to bad. I don't Even know what to do with a swarm grenade in pve. I do think they were scared of titan. Because their stuff tends to be bad or game breaking. And they obviously wanted to beat the wellock allegations.
