I'm stuck on step 3 of the new "Where in the Neomuna is Archie?" quest. It says "Archie wanted to get caught up on everything we know about the Veil" and apparently this clue is supposed to lead me to the Veil Containment building which is supposed to be accessed through the ESI Terminal.
However I can't find anyway to progress beyond the ESI Terminal area. There's a barrier preventing me from going anywhere further that I can't see how to remove. One guide says something about an open door on a balcony that leads to a portal, but if that door is the obvious one, it's not open for me.
It seems rather bad quest design to require the ownership of an expansion in the middle of it, and not at the start, so maybe I'm missing something, but it's looking like I need the Lightfall expansion to complete this step. There are number of interactables in the ESI Terminal area that say "Requires Destiny 2: Lightfall", so I'm guessing this is what is preventing me from reaching the Veil Containment building

2 RepliesYes you need dlc.

Edited by SNO95: 5/28/2024 8:18:05 PMYou can breach the door by going out of bounds, this might be against the rules. Here's a video, I did it on titan: https://youtu.be/rUUrngZIwDY

5 RepliesYou don't need to enter the Veil Containment building and the quest step can be completed from the patrol space.

I am unable to get past the second part. The door into where I need to go is closed and I can’t open it. please help

I’m stuck with the same darn issue, I came back to D2 after a real break. Now I’m getting blocked from completing a quest. Grrr.

3 RepliesI have light fall, but stuck at the same quest step. What do I do?

1 ReplyEdited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 5/29/2024 2:57:23 PMIt’s not even completable if you do have it because the second location outside the veil has no paw prints to interact with for me. I looked it up to make sure and I’m in the right spot.

Same here but I own every DLC so that is not the cause stated by another contributor

Conclusion: Regardless of into the light is free to play, in the end Bungie still wants players to spend money to buy Lightfall even though the DLC has little content & tell an incomplete story.

I was having the exact same issue and had the same thought about how annoying it is to be blocked from completing this quest right at the end just because I don't have lightfall.

1 ReplyHi there! Thank you for your report. Do you have a video of these switches that you are referring to? A YouTube link would work best.
