Can we put shaders on exotic weapons please
I feel like it’s time to have the ability to put shaders on exotic weapons and I am not sure if you ever have a reason why we can’t put shaders on our exotic weapons but it would be nice to be able to put shaders instead of relying on ornaments

4 RepliesThis cannot be done for the sole reason, as others have stated here, of the Eververse shop. Most weapon ornaments are simply a recolor of the gun that could be easily done with a shader, however with shaders not able to be placed on them you are stuck with the default design, or fork over cash for it. Or just wait for it to roll through the bright dust rotation.

the reason is money. Take a look at some of the year one exotic weapon ornaments. Some of them are just a white shader. Generally they have gotten much better at actually creating a unique design for the ornament, but sometimes we still get stuff like Eriana's Vow ornaments, which are all just differently colored, and one has SFX

If they would actually make great looking ornaments for exotic weapons then they could probably make some good money by advertising those really cool ornaments with certain shaders equipped onto them. It’s a perfect opportunity to do that right now considering Super Black is around the corner. I’m sure there’s exotic weapon ornaments that would look great with Super Black equipped. The ornament might be able to sell itself but a shader would sell it so much more.

But but....then Bungie would have to make real ornaments instead of tweaking the shaders They are just a poor little indie company working out of there parents basement , cut them some slack

How would they sell you an ornament that is the same gun but different color. They know what they’re doing.

3 RepliesIt would be nice if you could use shaders, I’ve wanted this for the entire time I’ve played D2. Some guns just don’t look right with my armor color scheme. I think we should be able to use shaders on exotic weapons, and ornaments should change the shape of the weapon, or change how it looks, not just changing the colors.
