I hardly see anyone online anymore and it’s not exactly the end of the season. Is that just my impression or are the numbers really very low?

Bungie stopped investing into the game in a meaningful way and left the pvp experience to burn while focusing on Eververse sales instead of driving revenue from producing quality replayable content with actual good loot to chase…..no mystery here
-
Diablo 4
-
I mean if you’ve been a Destiny regular for a while, there’s almost zero reason to play these days. The lack of passion for Destiny is very noticeable too. Lots of other games more worth people’s time.
-
All of my friends quit. Not a single one logs in anymore. I log in on Tuesday's to get my moneys worth on the content I wish I didn’t pay for.

3 Repliespersonally, i took a break for RE4… then jedi survivor… zelda… and soon FF16. ive been enjoying my time away from this prison sentence of a video game, maybe others have too. once you’ve been cleansed of the brainrot of live service its really hard to re-acquire the debuff.

1 ReplyYesterday playstation counts for the whole 24hrs were around the 365k mark.
-
1 ReplyNot enough to do and too many other games are pulling people out. Been playing Amnesia: The Bunker instead of Destiny
-
I don't track numbers but my clan, friends list, and both Discords that I frequent have been really quite. No one is even on line and if they are they are not playing Destiny.
-
The game is deserted. Bungie has abused the community for so long and people finally had enough.
-
Is a bad game whit a bad player support,no transparency is so sad lets play Diablo 4 insted
-
3 RepliesI find halo matches within 20 seconds I find paladins matches with 45 seconds I find destiny matches within 1:30-3 mins It’s safe to say pvp is deserted in destiny.
-
5 RepliesThis season has been a boring one but you have to also put into account the great games/ expansions that just released. Diablo 4 and the Necrom DLC for ESO just to name a couple.
-
5 RepliesThe decline is not just your perception. I have noticed a drop in several activities. This happened sooner than expected, but activity tends to decline as Summer approaches. Bungie asked on Twitter how they can improve the game. They are aware of the decline in participation. Compounding the decline is the fact that the Destiny in general has been available for several years. It no longer has the fascination and excitement that it had years ago.
-
2 RepliesBots are probably playing this game to pad numbers up. But other gamers are getting a sour taste of how stale this game has become. I mean, I’ve been playing this game for years because I was having fun back then. When Activision dropped this game to the trash, the game lost its soul and substance. Completely barren and devoid of creativity. Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣

17 RepliesThey made the game no fun to play and more of a chore with the addition of constant respawning ads. There raids have zero options for a team of 3, making that content inaccessible for a large percentage of players, when getting a 6 man teams is not a viable option. There match making in end game pvp like trials is not working as intended. Having a negative effect on participants. They nerf weapons constantly and nerf the players . Its getting to the point of making the game play numbing and again a chore. There trying to hang on to the long time players of destiny. which in effect is driving away the new player base. The stingy RNG for drops is also a contributing factor in decline. This list is not a fantasy it is the hard facts. Its time they act on making the game fun for all players new and old alike. A big ticket to fill, but the direction that should be front and center above anything else.

5 RepliesI stopped because they made solo play too painful and annoying and put all the new stuff we just paid for behind fireteam requirements i cant meet. Bullet sponges not fun Dungeons...cant die once as solo not fun and waaaay too drawn out Pinnacle engrams removed from strike playlist....whats the point Strike playlist replaced with crappy battlegrounds....not fun anymore Super long drawn out levels like everything season of the deep....sorry im not playing for that many hours at once for armor thats worse off than what ive had the last 6 months

8 RepliesWhy research anything when you just post what you 'feel'. https://steamcharts.com/app/1085660#All

2 RepliesNO idea what game you've been playing, but you're totally wrong. I would agrue that there are two many new players; these new players have contributed to Comp and Trials absolutely sucking for solo players. Most of the new players have absolutely no idea what they're doing. I wish there was more requirements for players to que up in Comp and Trials. Back to my point, bro you're wrong...I've been around since the beginning and I've never seen this many new players entering the game at once. Trust me, it's annoying as hell trying to play Rift with new players who have absolutely no idea what they're doing.....

Edited by whateverman7: 6/14/2023 11:11:37 PMIf you haven't noticed: there are a bunch of other games that came out or are coming out soon. Hence, why the feeling. To go along with that, bungie didn't really add anything overall new this season. Which I think has to do with the first point I made. Why add a bunch of stuff when so many games are coming out right now? You don't lol. Hell, to me, this season feels more like 'here you go, thanks for playing' kinda thing the way the game is giving away loot lol. Exotics/materials from fishing, double rewards (even if by accident), exotic engrams as rewards to get better exotic gear, red borders for seasonal weapons are easy to get, harmonic material to get patterns for other weapons easy to get, etc. We even got to cheese the dungeon boys for a month lol. On top of that: no level increase, so all the people playing other games won't feel 'left behind' when they return.

21 Replieslmao inb4 people go "dead game" despite it not being dead even remotely
-
Because dresstiny is a barebone dead brain game. Knowing only the season content that is cheap lazy work is the only thing keeping players around knowing the size of a game like this that the fans claim "Dresstiny is a good game". That's pretty freaking bad. I like how someone tried to use "it's summer". Yet this has literally happened ever single season for the last 4 years, and sometimes half way through the season because how good the rest of the game is. I like this one too, "Players are just burned out" yeah, new players always get burned out on a game they just started 👍 Then there is the, "it's a 9-year-old game" that happened to turn in to be "f2p" acording to the fans, that should suggest that the player base count should be way up there, but the player count drops low near the end of ever single season. When season content is the only thing keeping most of the players around and sometime just half way through season content? it's a red flag slapping you in the face telling you there is something majorly wrong with the game.

33 RepliesTook away the power grind, as asinine as it was it gave me a reason to play strikes, crucible, raids, rotators and even gambit. Now its gone I do the 10 minute weekly story and 3 dungeon clears which will stop when I get the exotic
-
It's as low as the fly fishing community is heading. Very sad
-
2 RepliesPlaying Diablo 4 at. it's amazing. Only thing I do on destiny is do the weekly story that's it.

1 ReplyEdited by Major-Payne: 6/13/2023 11:35:13 PMI mean. Let’s be honest here. It’s nearly 10 years old and it really hasn’t changed much. Even if the game was perfect (which it’s definitely not) it’s to the point where everything new is old. I find it really hard to get excited about anything in Destiny any longer. I can’t wait to grind for a hung jury 7.0. -blam!- that.

4 RepliesEdited by DreadGrrl: 6/14/2023 1:12:32 PMI’ve been playing on console, and the tower has been very full every time I’ve been in it. Patrol zones are more lightly populated, but Bungie limits the amount of players per patrol zone through instances, so it is hard to get an idea of population through those. They always seem empty now. My queues have been fast, but compared to queue times in other games I play D2’s queues are always fast.
