Are we actually going back to wendigo izanagi meta?
Huge buff to GL
Huge nerf to LFR
No huge buffs to any other weapon archetype.
We're going back to wendigo and izinagi DPS meta for bosses after having it for nearly 2 years before sunset.
Couldn't come up with a different meta for once?

Rockets+gjally are still better for non moving targets. They are the best DSC boss option as well.

2 RepliesSunsetting Wendigo and then giving us it back from a shitty RNG method through NFs to which you can get the same roll is one of the most pathetic things they have done. If they are going to reintroduce sunset weapons and then make it so you can basically get the same roll then they need to un-sunset the original versions. They wont. Because like stated previous, they are pathetic. You can tell from the last couple years this game has had no concrete direction. I mean Jararaca-3SR is literally Randy's Throwing Knife.

2 RepliesDon't see GL getting that much use after that small buff LFR nerf will make them less strong but still reliable and a 2 phase on most bosses Izanagi could make a return ,whisper could too Leviathan breath and 1k voices with their change could also be meta with their respective elemental build Don't try to call meta before it happens ...post like that always aged like milk

The meta is like Iron Banner armour, cycles through the terrible sets and becomes repetitive

1 ReplyWell, the "Raid Meta" will be more defined by the encounters. If we have super long ranges bosses that may make GLs less viable. It could also effect what a "God Roll" GL is. Some say it's explosive light and auto loading, some say it's full court/field prep. Facts are, we don't know yet. We only have indications.

Better than LF meta tbh I like metas that require switching weapons often and / or using abilities

1 ReplyTo me it sounds like Anarchy and Sleeper would be up there next season. Since sleeper wont be affected by the legendary LFR nerf. 1000 voices and maybe Xenophage as well?

No, we're not. GLs will probably be the preferred option for champs due to high burst dmg. And that's pretty much in line with B's philosophy they announced in BL - a weapon type will excel in one area and they will avoid jacks of all trades.

I think Rockets/Izzys might have a say in the matter. Rockets absolutely slap atm for damage.

3 RepliesLFRs are still going to be pretty solid. Good DPS with solid total damage with ammo refund perks. The nerf to Veist Stinger hurts, but it’s not crippling. It just means your warlocks might actually have to wear Lunafactions now. Rockets aren’t getting touched, so for any burst DPS they’re probably going to be meta alongside maybe a prospector build. Anarchy + double slug/sniper could see a resurgence if we get the right bosses. Sleeper is basically getting out untouched from the LFR nerfs. 1K gets huge damage bonus from Ignition + Solar well-lock. But all this kinda pales in comparison to Grand Overture, one of the current top DPS options, is getting a 10% damage buff…

I mean, I'm going to pull out my Anarchy, and maybe try to finish the Prospector catalyst. Wendigo was good though.
