"Whenever you match in Trials, in addition to trying to match with people with the same number of card wins, you will also attempt to match with people who have roughly the same number of overall wins for the weekend."
So tell me how a player who is on 20 wins for the week with maybe 20+ losses can now be matched with potentially flawless players who are also on 20 wins but maybe 4 losses? matchmaking based on wins is the stupidest bullshit you could have came up with.
So if I now sit on the 7th win on my card (even on a flawed passage) its now going to be infinitely harder to get wins beyond the 7th win on the card if im now going to matched against people on 7th wins but with substantially higher win ratios to me all because "we have the same number of wins for the week"
Great way to utterly ruin engram farming for anyone who isnt flawless now..... might as well reduce the engram focusing cost because anyone who isnt flawless will not only be getting way less loot as they will guaranteed be losing more games with this shitty solution but any engrams they get will just be worthless to focus as they cost so much for the level effort there gunna need to put into to get any decent "amount of engrams" to make the time worth it.
Call me next week when Trials ends up being utterly -blam!-.

Edited by $hirtless Captain Kirk: 10/31/2021 3:42:33 PMMatchmaking needs to prioritize quality over time. They're too focused on matching you quickly. I'd rather wait 5-10 minutes for a good game than 1 minute for a -blam!- game. It needs to be strictly overall kd based and nothing else. It would save player's time overall anyway in the long run. Someone who is 1.0 should NEVER face a 2.0. Etc.

played 50 games in the last 24 hours with varying amounts of people, (some were getting carried some were solo and some were duo or trio). 3 cards went to six wins and lost at last game. The matchmaking wants me to play against players who are about 900 elo above me on destiny tracker. 86% winrate teams with 2000 games when im not even flawless yet seems a bit unbalanced. The new matchmaking encourages you to quit if you dont go flawless on your first card since youll just get perma stuck in giga sweat queue. Im finding at 25 wins into my weekend every game is just players with 2000 games that are at tournament levels of play. I can do pretty well for myself but I cant imagine what someone who normally struggles to get flawless feels like, considering the queue punishes you for winning but not getting your flawless done early. Might as well stop playing for the weekend if you get to six wins and lose on a second card. I dont think bungie will keep this matchmaking I sure hope they dont spit on player trust like that but I guess well have to wait until tuesday to find out. Thanks for reading my rant

This MM isnt workin at all. Played 3 games solo, wins on card didnt match and win per week didnt match, and 1k elo diff. Idk, we just need SBMM or winrate based MM.

These changes are trying to help casuals get flawless. They should’ve just left it like week 1 and never changed anything. No one would be the wiser and everyone would still be happy.
-
Just don’t play it bro, if bungie sees the numbers drop enough they’ll revert back to something else. I’ve not played it yet and I probably won’t, because I only play on double xp weeks, otherwise it’s just not worth the grind.

7 RepliesThe connections are so unbelievably bad these days I will absolutely not play trials or comp no matter what they do. Here's a clip of comp some time ago. And this stuff happens all the time now. https://youtu.be/Mv_qgGkx8po Used to enjoy pvp. Got over 1900 hours now but it's become an unplayable mess. I'm still on ps4 maybe that has something to do with it. Awful.

Trials now is for them cheaters and scrubs that's done it 1000 times in 1st day it's getting to the point if you can't beat em join em so jumping into my pc and cheating on destiny

....I feel like y'all queue up the day trials comes out expecting to do well. What y'all clearly seem to forget: People who love trials will be definitely doing it the first night, Friday. People who like playing trials are generally really good. People start at all hours on Friday, but the result may or may not be the same. It's like you guys are goldfish and forget everything Bungie has literally set up to this point about what they're doing with trials every weekend, or forget how trials works. The moment it comes out, the crazies are in there if they can get in there.

11 RepliesFlawless pool - A Failure This upcoming MM - A failure Yep yep they're definitely going through dumb community suggestions first. That includes freelance for a mode not designed for it. -shrug- We'll get somewhere eventually.........just taking the long way around.

2 RepliesEdited by MysticTR1: 10/29/2021 1:05:04 AMBungie logic at play and folks wonder why the game is in a bit of a state lol. Understand why theres no lobby balance now lol 😆

3 RepliesIt's a b/s system bungie is putting in place so that they can get rid of the flawless pool for all the streamers complaining about it. Pretty sure they know it won't work, but it gives them an excuse to claim they were just trying something different.
-
6 RepliesExplain why people who have never been flawless should be constantly matched against 3 stacks, carries and recovs? No seriously explain it, because there isn't one. Its unfair and straight up bull. At least this thing actually matches people in your win/skill bracket. As people always say, trials is super competitive... Now you need to play super competitive if you win a lot, as you are being put up against fairer opponents

1 ReplyTrials is nothing but botters. Anything they do to make them leave im all for it.
-
3 RepliesThe idea is that very good players will have many many more wins than another that is less skilled. That is for the most part true. Better players play more and win more. I don’t forsee many matches where a 25/0 player matches a 25/20. You also have to realize that the 25/0 player only played 25 matches while the 25/20 player played 45. This is only the case when your under the assumption that the very good players don’t play many matches, which doesn’t make sense if you are that good, you have to put in a lot of practice to get that good.

Trail just a joke now I run into only three stack of cheaters an have people who sabotage my game freelance was way better wish it stayed cause this one is just a joke I can’t even get one win on a card
-
The motto at bungie should be oh somethings working let's -blam!- it up.
-
1 ReplyPopulation has been dropping each week. Despite the excellent first week, it looks as though this is a repeat of Season of the Worthy. It might be time for Bungie to stop being so stubborn and start removing frustrating aspects of Trials. This will probably be their last and final chance to save Trials.
-
Trials gonna suck this week for most..
-
Good luck to Bungie come December 8 because I know what I’ll be playing. D2 PvP is just a B Grade movie…
-
1 ReplyThey explained it would be card based first, but then you would filter back into the general pool if there was a long wait. They explained that in the post, did you read it?
-
What it's like to play trials................... It's like being a switch. Sometimes you spank, sometimes you get spanked, but either way someone's getting spanked. Do like that I finally have a map I can dust off my jade jackrabbit...
-
-blam!- is -blam!- stupid. bring back solos!
-
Flawless pool was never necessary to begin with. All they needed to do was put a freelance node, and boom, we're done. They just ain't that bright I guess.
-
3 RepliesNo freelance…no way! I doubt I’m the only guardian. Hope the sweats enjoy playing each other. 🤗

1 ReplyI'm sure the majority of forum users on here are the same people who complain about souls games being too hard.
