We all knew they were getting nerfed, but you basically halved their usefulness and tripled the cost to use them.
Here's the problem, you also didn't follow through on your promise to keep introducing new, exciting, game changing mods.
Now we get neutered mods and you've never added anything close to being as powerful/fun as warmind cells.
So, basically you're just in a perpetual cycle of power creep -> nerf -> sunset -> power creep -> nerf (and repeat)
I guarantee 2023's major expansion will include another sunset. I see you, Bungie 🧐

I agree. I'm totally expecting some sort of "new" mod system with this new "Craftable" armor, that will relegate all of our current OP masterwork armor useless. Essentially making it to where you are "soft forced" to start making new armor, and destroy your old stuff.

6 RepliesWell, i assume they (the warmind mods) were made with the sunsetting system in mind. Really, if this season continued with sunsetting, then we wouldnt need to nerf it at all. But since sunsetting is gone, they need to make you stop using it.

Yeah, warmind cells were hit very hard with that nerf coming up, perhaps they will dial it back in the future, in fact I hope they do a bit, i know some friends who live off those things and with the increased cost they may have to toss their "perfected" warmind build. Personally, I don't use the things at all, or very rarely, but yes I do think it was a bit extreme of a nerf.

Some guy makes a video of him clearing endless thralls in Shattered throne and now everyone who doesn't use these are flipping out. They are good for clearing trash mobs, near useless for 1310 and higher content. Nobody's breaking the game with warmind cells

I personally never got into the “Oh shit, I’m tripping on balls.” Warcell meta, but I just might have to now that they’re gonna bring the mods down without bringing anything else up to yin their yang.

1 ReplyI honestly can careless about Warmind Cells. Sure they are great for Solo Artists who are doing low level stuff, but............ I have two buddies that run and onlyl run: Witherhorde iKelos SMG Sword When they heard about his Nerf they flipped out. How am I supposed to do hard stuff whithout them? I don't know the same way you change your load out when your Doing a Master or Grand Master Nightfall.

2 RepliesDo you understand how powerful these were? For getting 5 kills, you could clear an entire room. With the correct mods, you could keep on chaining this. Warmind cells were and still are free grenades. There could be 30 trash mobs in a room, but by killing five you would have the power to kill all of them. Warmind cells are basically an exotic perk.

1 Replylol, no. I've been using warmind cells religiously since their inception. I was expecting A LOT worse, but they will still be fine. The only thing is the whole "orange ball goes brrrrrrt" is gone, which hopefully will mean less blueberries mindlessly blowing up warmind cells.
