Bungie - Your NF score calculation sucks
Third team mate dropped out at boss fight. I got 42K, mate got 59K
Its 101K thus the pinnacle reward, yet you gave us 99,930 for the nightfall.

Well if you both shoot the same target you both get credit for the points. So if you both kill a boss, you’d both get say 5000 points added to your personal total but the overall total won’t equal the 10000 your personal score will add up to. I can legit run a nightfall and get 60000 points and never kill anything but just put a few points of damage in and it looks like I did really well.

9 RepliesI did the flayer NF a few weeks ago on hero and you could easily get 100K in the past but was doing it with a friend and when we killed the boss it gave us 200 pts (not the norm) and we were 80 pts from 100k if you were doing hero i think they changed it in a recent update to where no matter what you can't get 100K in any NF hero or under

Some points are shared, sort of like how you can get quest or bounty progress even if your teammate gets the "final blow" and such. It will give you both points individually, but the points only get added to your total score once.

It's because some of those scores overlapped. You both got points for killing an enemy, for example, but the enemy only gave one set of points. It just showed up on both your screens.

No disrespect my man, but if you cant get 100k score on a 1310 NF even with an LFG team then something is going seriously wrong. this weeks nightfall is ridiculously easy to get the 100k needed. just dont melt the boss let the adds spawn clean up, and you melt boss easy.....

Individual scores are irrelevant. The only score that matters is the one in the bottom right corner of the screen. Don't melt the boss so fast, tidy up all the juicy adds in the boss room.

Maybe you were at the time when you start losing points? Even barley in that time with the points you did earn,it seems like you lost some core at the last second

Noice.[/quote] Your individual scores aren't added up to make the actual score. You and your teammates get those scores which add up to over the actual score due to assisted kills.

Just because you earned the points doesn't mean you get to keep the points if you go beyond the time. That's why you failed.

Let them focus on QoL changes first before handing everyone everything they ask for because they don't want to grind” Classic lol How about instead of asking bungie to hand you everything because you don’t want to grind, you sack up and go do the Master NF and you’ll never worry about 100k again. Exact scenario you railed on another guardian for when they asked about LS loot rates. Do the harder mission and get rewarded. Unreal how hypocritical and dumb people can be.

The scores at the end show your individual scores but some of those points are shared. For example when you kill the boss you might get 1000 points (example, I have no idea) now each of you will get 1000 points on your individual scores but your team score will only get 1000.

You probably got timer -blam!- as it continues for several seconds after the boss dies in most Nightfall Strikes and can easily carry you back below 100K when you are only a few points over.
